These players are so good partly because they are so measured/level headed and therefore consistent at an incredibly high level - yet Luca, Ronnie, Judd and and even Shaun Murphy are playing above and beyond because they are telling each other so. Amazing snooker this year.

After seeing his first match my gambler said bet him against the field now.

Brecel is extremely talented, who has a great top gear but his low game is awful. I think an in form Trump has too much for him in the next round.
If i had to bet on a winner, it would be Zhao. I think he will finally break the Chinese duck and become the first asian snooker world champion. He is alien level good.
You can also never discount Ronnie, he is playing well so far, but his long game has been pretty dodgy.
It has been a really enjoyable World Championships so far.

I think all favorites (Zhao, Higgins, Ronnie, and Judd) should win, but don't sleep on Wakelin and then anything can happen with Luca since he's such a wildcard.

if he keeps at his game, with high long pot % and pot success, and isn't overcome by the situation, then i don't see why he wouldn't beat ronnie, who so far has botched every other long shot

He's missing way too many easy shots and has been fortunate his opponents haven't been able to capitalize.

The Rocket was up 5-2 on Si when I left the house…..Si missed a few around the black end…out potted Ronnie on the long game.
I think Si is intimidated.
