This Sunday 12/09/12 the 2012 $25,000 winner take all International Challenge of Champions will be broadcast for the first time in HD on ESPN2 in the USA. OB Cues is the official cue of this event and we ask that you support pool and also show your support for OB Cues by watching the upcoming broadcasts on Sunday.

At 2pm EST on ESPN2, the first Semi-Final will be shown between Shane Van Boening of the USA versus Jung Lin Chang of Taiwan. Then at 3pm EST on ESPN2, the second Semi-Final will be shown between Darren Appleton of the UK versus Dennis Orcollo of the Philippines. Finally, at 4pm EST on ESPN2, the Final will be shown where a champion will be crowned and will win the $25,000 winner take all check.

Also, don't forget to check out the New OB Cues TV Commercial which will be shown for the first time on US Television at least once during each of these three pool broadcasts.

Thanks a lot for that TV scheduling info, Shane. I might have easily missed that.

FYI

CSI (CueSports International) + BCAPL + USAPL are also sponsors of the Challenge of Champions.

We are also involved with Trick Shots and Women Challenge of Champions.

Our 'plug' will not be as long or as exciting as OB Cues - but wanted everyone to know we are there too!!

Anything that keeps pool in the eyes of the viewers is good for everyone!

I had no idea (or maybe I don't pay that much attention)

However, it's much appreciated Mr CSI ++. Your brand is surely a tough one to grow. You do it with class and integrity.

But O'Rly? Teaming with OB Cues? The company that chops our shafts into zucchini strips (like an aggressive date) and then puts ya back together with super glue? ;)

KK9 <-- hadn't seen a men's match on ESPN since God was a little boy

Thanks Mark. Yes, CSI is also involved in this event (didn't mean to ignore you guys!) In addition to OB Cues and CSI, this tournament is also sponsored by Mohegan Sun, Diamond Billiards Tables, Aramith Tournament Balls, Simonis Cloth, Mueller Recreational Products, Executive Billiards Delta-13 Racks and Silver Cup Chalk. Please watch this broadcast tomorrow and/or set your DVR's to record it.

Bump to the top for new pool broadcast starting in 8 minutes on ESPN2 in HD, please support pool and watch this broadcast, there are 3 new hour matches back to back to back.

About a month too late. Pool is about 100 times more interesting when live and when you do not know the outcome, just like any other sport on the planet.

If the NFL said "finally, the Superbowl is going to be on TV, a month after the event took place, and a month after everyone found out the outcome!", the TV numbers would be a joke compared to the ratings giant the Superbowl truly is.

Live sports coverage is crucial in getting interest in sports and pool being shown a month after the fact makes the "sport" look like a novelty along the same lines as the Worlds Strongest Man competitions.

It's still fun to watch even when you know the outcome, because you don't know how it happened.

Accu-Stats gives the final score for pretty much every match they sell.

Also, in the rack that Shane just played to get up 3-2 in the second set, the shots on the 1 and 4 were incredible.

I watched earlier today and Darren played amazing. Not taking anything away from him but the pockets on that diamond looked like buckets. Did anyone else think the same?

Dennis had it I thought. Scratch right in the corner off the six ball shot he made. Other than that mistake, he was playing like a machine. Darren very mentally strong though.

Besides that, there would be casual fans watching who would not have known the outcome since it was on ESPN. I was very happy to see them on ESPN.

Rerun?

I tried to record the programs, but my recorder is not functioning properly. Will this show be rebroadcasted or put on YouTube?

Thanks to the sponsors for supporting the ICoC.
