lol! old meuccis play great! sorry bob turned and went the way of volume!! nothin moves the ball better than a older meucci as most would attest to! lol and the feel? ........ nothing is like it!

buy at your own risk

not related, but i bought a cue from this retard three/four years ago. he advertised it as a unreleased meucci sneaky pete, it had the black dot shaft, which came warped, a loose joint ring, ferrule, all the rings were lifted, and it made a funny vibrating noise. plus he overvalued the cue to 500 USD for customs when i only paid 150 for it. so i wound up paying another 50 bucks in duty. plus shipping took three weeks - claimed that fedex doesn't ship internationally:confused: so he had to ship USPS priority post.

when i complained about it he stated that i got it for a steal and that the cue was perfect when it left arizona, started bashing me calling Canadians a bunch of complainers, an that's why he doesn't ship to canada, blah blaah blaah......so after a couple of days of insulting eachother via email he reluctantly offers a refund minus shipping, well, shipping from canada to arizona costs about 40 bucks, wtf would i want to spend more money. so i decided to try and fix the cue myself, straightend out the shaft. glued the joint rings back on, and tried to get rid of that crazy rattle (unsuccessfully)

so i left him a neutral feedback stating that the cue wasn't in the shape he claimed it was, but was cheap, hence i got what i paid for. he wound up giving me a NEGATIVE FEEDBACK IN RETURN

needless to say he was a complete d**k
whadda ya expect from a guy that peddles meucci's, he even looks like a used car salesman in his pictures

You guys arent complainers.....your beer drinkers:grin:

i have had all the old meuccies from the se1- se12 and most of the original cues and sold em, heck the mo11 gold leaf cue that discount billiards has listed is my cue that was new and still in the sleeve untouched back in 2005 , they are a great player cue and nice low end collectable but theses guys like this idiot prey on the people that have no clue !

Gambler

A guy I've played some 9-ball races with over the years has a Meucci Original Gambler. Coincidentally, I just ran into him last week after not seeing him in about 5 years. We played a few sets and while he was outside on a phone call, I took a look at his cue. I'm not certain, but I think it had all the ornamentation this cue has. When he came back in I mentioned that I hadn't seen an Original Gambler in a long time and he said that he has had it since the late 70's - early 80's. He said that he's been told that it's worth quite a bit. I'll have to take a better look at it the next time I see him.

As mentioned above, it's hard to find a cue that hits as well as an old Meucci. I can remember having much better CB control then than I do now. Especially with draw.

I had a couple of these models and they were the originals , they played great back then , but ended up selling all of them , I kept them all in great shape and never got more then $750 for any one of them back 10 yeras ago and more > ED

Original Gambler

I bought one of these recently. It is beautiful even for its age and hits great. But its value is nowhere near $2500

hmm...

I have watched him list this cue at least 3 times over the past few months.

Cue might get 1k. Bama is dead on as usual :)

I got a nice BEM MO Olympiad w/ real ivory for 2500 if you are interested.. he he he.

Is this cue really worth this much? What makes it so speacial. Not bashing, just curious if I am missing something about it...

The guy states that the cue is an early Meucci one of Kind made during the 1970's. If this is true the cue has been modified or the Butt Capp has been replaced. The bumper on this cue is not what was used on 1970's Meucci cues.

I don't think the cue is worth that much money, especially since it has been tampered with, I also am not sure old it actually is,

What a maroon.....lmao

He also advertises all over the US on Craigslist selling High end collectors type cues, but does not have a single one of them, but says he has friends that he can get them from all over the US. Not sure if that means AZ or Fleabay, but I stopped answering or returning his calls well over a year ago.
Used to also peddle Dale Perry's as high end collectors cues at a discount. $1700 for a $2500 cue with a "certificate from the cuemaker verifying the value"!
Always says he has old Meucci Orignals, or Limiteds or something along those lines. I called about an Oldie#5 and a SE 10 that he had listed, and that started the phone calls.....lol
