FYI, I just posted a new video that demonstrates a fun challenge that will give you good 8-ball and straight-pool practice. Just rack 36 balls and break and run them in any order. Check it out:

As always, I look forward to your feedback, comments, questions, complaints, and requests.

I hope some of you guys decide to participate!

Looks like fun (unless you don't like crowds).

I saw Marco Marquez once at Chris's in Chicago practicing 30-ball banks. He used two CBs, switching as needed.

Here is a video of one of the Ko brothers doing 70. 6 balls on the break shot. I haven't watched this one, but in another one they did with fewer balls, I really didn't like the patterns. Well, there were no patterns. They started with 45 and have a video of each increment of 5.

I’ve got 2 sets, so may do the 28 ball challenge. Thanks for the idea!

If possible, try to find or borrow 6 more balls to add to your 2 sets so you can post a Challenge video.

Earth to Bob. o_O

Did you watch the beginning of my video where I showed short clips and mentioned links in my video description for Venom's 36, Hohmann's 55, and Ko's 70? The video you linked is the same as the one I showed and linked.

You're just as bad as some of the young zero-attention-span "social media posters" with non-existent reading and listening skills.

I hope you don't mind me giving you a hard time. It is not often you offer such an opportunity. ;)

Catch you later,
Dave

I've done the same thing-not banks though. That is just masochistic.

The two cbs is a wild twist. I would choose between them, but if the other was your opponent's...that would be interesting.

There's a pic of my 30 balls up in Azb somewhere, maybe home table thread. So Danny Harriman can be a believer.

Another interesting twist would be to use CBs for the added 6 balls (36 = 15 + 15 + 6), and allow any of them to be used at any time. Maybe that would make it too easy, but it would be fun and it would still be excellent practice.

A little wacky but I think that's a feature, not a flaw.

Playing 36-ball banks I'm pretty sure I'd need to use all balls as "cue balls" as needed.

i’ve always wondered,
how many balls will fit on a table?

1892 (126 15-ball sets + 2 more balls); although, there wouldn't be any room for the CB or any shots.

well done!
thank you, sir, you really are a doctor.🙂

I'm not a medical doctor (my PhD is in mechanical engineering), but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

( I suspect younger people who didn't watch TV years ago won't understand the reference, but I thought I would try anyway.)
