4 Players Left...Please tell me...

They are going to have a ref racking for each match, or at least the ones that are streamed.

Prestigious event. Would be pretty laughable to see the final four racking their own like this was a weekly $10 tournament.

The fact that you have a "perfect" rack to rack with and you have to worry about somebody trying to rig it is laughable.

Not only laughable, but a damn shame.

True, which is why I'm really hoping after all these years they decided to wise up and have the refs rack for these final matches.

Nothing personal about these particular refs but there are some refs I trust less than the pool players.

One possible solution would be magic rack, 9 on the spot.

4 players left..

Being the Final day..why aren't they going to stream the SVB and Orcullo Match ?..instead going to not show that, and go right to the winners side finals..there is plenty of time for them to stream the SVB and Orcullo at 11 AM..then @2 PM show the winners side....then the semi Finals @ 4;30..Then the Finals at 8 PM ?? I think they dropped the ball on this one, and I know I would have like to see all 4 players playing today..it's not that they don't have the time...Time is on their side...THE WHOLE DAY...

I don't think anyone will disagree, but this happens every year. They have a reason for it, but I can't remember what it is exactly.

Umm...that's what they are doing. (Accu rack)

The Nine is being racked on the spot at this event with an outsville version of a magic rack.

If it's not on the stream table, there won't be any DVDs

I think
Correct, only way you will see that match is if someone records it on cell phone and post it to youtube.

Or streams it via facebook live or youtube.

What's the rule on that? I know Accu Stats has exclusive rights to the stream table, but what about matches on other tables?

It'd be nice if someone there could stream the SVB/DO match on their phones, but I don't want anyone to get in trouble.

From what I heard, nobody has permission to live stream any matches not even Q Masters and Rha who live stream to the US Open Facebook page.

I think Accu Stats owns the broad casting rights or some kind of agreement where only Accu Stats can record and broadcast the event, I wonder if Accu Stats is paying for those rights.

That's pretty silly IF TRUE.

It makes total sense to not allow people to stream/record the live table, because then people wouldn't bother purchasing the stream or buying the DVD(s).

But how are they getting hurt if someone does that on an outer table?

Again, just speculation on my part. I don't know the exact ruling on the matter.

But how are they getting hurt if someone does that on an outer table?

Let's for the sake of argument say someone (different people) is streaming ALL of
the outer tables thru Facebook or whatever. Do you think that would cause more or
less people to purchase the ppv stream? 1 or 2 tables will obviously have less of
an impact but an impact nonetheless.

Not in 2016.

A lot of people have dual monitors. For those that don't, it's easy to have multiple tabs open in your web browser.

There are numerous ways you can have the Accu-Stats stream up as well as other sources.

The only way it would likely hurt sales is when Accu-Stats is streaming a match with little interest. Then I could definitely see more people skipping it just to focus on the better match.

I was watching a match between SVB and Alex that was being streamed to Facebook through a cell phone, When a free cell phone stream works better than something that is run by "professionals" and they charge you PPV, you have to wonder about the future of streaming for money.

I don't pay for anything, unless it works. If it doesn't work, don't offer me some kind of DVD deal, or a coupon, or a free snow cone. All I want is my money back.

It is kind of like watching a football game after you know who won and what the score is. Do I want a DVD of the game? No, I don't.

People running these streams need to "ensure" their stuff works before they even sell it. If the venue doesn't have proper equipment or bandwidth to support what you are trying to do, then you have to make your OWN setup and not rely on them. If it costs you more than you make, either you charged too much, or nobody wants to watch what you are providing. Simple as that.

I agree with most of what you say but fail to see the connection to my post.

If pool players can watch 3 side tables for free or 1 main table on a ppv...pool players chose the side tables.
I don't consider myself anywhere near cheap but I would probably do the same.
