The best "new" cues I've seen are Blackcreek.

Jim

I agree! Travis makes a fine cue! Another newbie who was recently mentioned in the forum is Billy Gibbs. He's building fine cues. Many years as a luthier, building guitars and basses for studio musicians have given him a great understanding of woodworking, jigs & fixtures and an attention to detail! He's getting a cue ready now to submit to the ACA for consideration, in his membership. He's worked with me for about 5 years and is planning to move back to the Cincinnati area in the near future, where he feels he can set up his shop closer to where the action is.

Jack is build me a Custom Break Cue at present out of the prettyest piece of birdseye

I think Michael Capone should be on the list, I think he started making cues in the 90's.

Murray Tucker and Bryan Mordt are definately making a name for themselves. Their work is only getting better and better. Espiritu has been around for awhile.

I have not seen a Black Creek in person yet, they look nice on the web. Seems he's becoming really popular. But my number one new cue maker is Bryan Mordt. He made me one 8-10 months ago, every tournament i'm at people always asking about the snakewood in mine. Just recieved my wife's last wendsday and it is freakin' awsome also. He make a great cue!! JMO

I don't know how new he is in the cue making business, I met a guy in Kalamazoo, MI. named Joe Gay, made some nice looking cues real long points they hit the ball pretty well.

how can capone be considered new he has been making cues for at least 15years. if this thread is going to continue you need to say a "new" cuemaker is from the last 5 years. I would consider them new if they started in 2000 or later.

There are tons to choose from but at the top of my list of Newer cuemakers. Some may have been around for a while but here is my list none the less.. In No particular order...

Travis Niklich (Blackcreek)
John Madden
Cory Barnhart
Paul Fanelli
Andy Gilbert..

Of course I can think of many others, these just popped into my mind. For what it is worth!

Peace,

How in the hell can Andy Gilbert be on a new cuemakers list when he first started making cues in 1989? I think he graduated from grade school a long time ago.
