54 on a Diamond today

Went to a AZ friend's house today who has a 9' ball return Diamond.
I had a 54 ball run but missed a shot with three balls left on the table. Luckily I ended up leaving him a poor long shot & he missed. I then ran another 33. So with two trips to the table I put up 87 points. Very happy with that practice.

Great shooting, too bad you couldnt wait one more day to play. You could of been the first one on the list for 2010 !!!!

Keep it up !
Steve

nice

54 on diamond is awesome, good job and good luck with the 100.
i remember my first 100 but not my first girlfriend go figure.
you will get a serious thrill out of your first 100,its alot harder than many people imagine. anybody whos done it once can flat out play.

John, thanks for posting your comment. It's a honor. I have ran 105, 108 & 116. I am looking to do it more consistently. I believe that I can do it every day & I am working toward that goal. Right now I am stuck between 40's & 60's. Once in a while I'll hit a 70 or 80 but not as often as the 40-60's. I know it is coming but nothing like you can do. I just want to know deep down that when I step up to the table. I have a chance for a 100.
PS: I do remember my first girlfriend.

yes, high runs are nice but high-run consistency is the goal of all 14.1 players. even when one is playing well, "hidden" run-stoppers await your downfall.
