We're all trying to come up with the best next opponent for SVB, now that he's destroyed two great champions, or almost at this point. Speaking for myself only, I'd either like to see a top Filipino like Busta, or Dennis Orcullo, or a top One Pocket match, even a handicapped match between Efren and Cliff for example. I don't want to watch another slaughter, although I'm glad I got to see Shane twice now. I think the All Around was a great idea, but for some reason I don't think it drew a lot of viewers. I like the format better, but I didn't buy it so I can't *****.

On another note, what would it take to get a PPV Tourney on TV ? Or a PPV like TAR on your big screen ? I'd be happier with that myself...Tom

I do not feel guilty about accepting the free Earl/Shane match. I have bought every PPV the guys have had and will continue to buy them even though I have watched less than 25% of the entire broadcast simply because I don't want to stay up that late on work days. It's just part of the cost of doing business. They did the right thing in giving the match away to the people that purchased the JS/DH match. If I sell someone a used car and then the transmission goes out 2 days later, then I'm gonna replace it with a comparable car to their satisfaction or I'm going to fix the transmission. Do I have to? no, 99% of the used inventory is sold as-is. But, because I do the right thing, the customer will now buy from me every time in the future and also tell all he knows that we took care of him when we didn't have to.

i wasnt around a computer to buy one of their events but i would buy them all anyways, in the beginning every should buy to insure a future of this, it HAS to be worth it for them to keep doing it, so buy now, and in a year I hope they are making $$$ they desreve it, no one here works for free, and this is work, so support TAR!!!! I have a couple ideas bubbling in my head for them after DCC....to be continued. I promis I will deliver and remember this post and commitment/promis I am making JAM wont forget ;) . i wont elaborate on it I have spoke to Chad about one plan but I have more. When I have what I want to commit $$$ and ideas were gonna sit down, its theit business and i'm not gonna run it or make decisions-I just want to insure the future of it and I have a couple ideas. say tuned. I believe in them and have pain careful attention to them and their moves and I like what I have seen so far.

I was really hoping the SVB/Earl match was going to be closer, it would help TAR if it was but SVB plays so good that its hard to make a game that isnt a blow out with him. Having him give up some weight would be great in a match. One pocket events wont sell as much but I'd buy them and hopefully down the road they will try one to test the water and see if it works(if the 1p works there will be a loyal following), this business model is so strong IT WILL WORK, its just gonna take $$$, the fans, Better match making(harriman/schmit was great match making) and also the timeing of the matches when all this is sorted out and people have the computers that support the feed and are used to it(were all creatures of habit) the number of buys will go up with each event as it becomes normal, rremember email 10 years ago you might send 1 or 2 a day and wondered if someone got it, now we email with out thinking same for live feeds, I have other ideas there too. Again I'm only gonna share my thoughts and perhaps $$ with the TAR clan to keep it going, there are so many ways to do this.

That was me too. I just paid for it. I think they are trying hard and they need support, they don't need to be giving handouts. However, I did appreciate the offer.
 
i dont want anything for free from TAR i wouldnt take it if they offered it to me as a comp, they need us-the fans and our cheese ;) . great guys and its dirt cheap its less than table time and we dont have to listen to Mitch.
 
I know I'm gonna here ***t for this, but what about six of the top women pros in a ring game or five or six of the top seeded in a round robin, or just two in a head to head match? It could get a WPBA fan following...and would be profitable. Jeanette isn't in the top six at the moment but would be a draw I think. Johnnyt

you could be right, I don't know. I personally would not buy it just because I don't get excited about the women's game. When one of your friends that never plays and drinks all the time can still beat any woman it kind of makes the product seem watered down. It is the same way for me with the LPGA and WNBA.
 
if they are going to do a woman, the way to get action on the PPV signups is that they have to match a woman up against a top mens pro.

Karen Corr might bring some viewers if she was matched up against Earl.

And they promised to mic Earl hehe
 
I just want to know who is going to play Earl in the next action challenge when he wins this thing! ..just kidding, ha ha
 
I think they need a pinoy/euro/asian player to get a bigger draw. Matching Shane/Rodney/Corey up against them will get all of the American interest plus there is no telling how many people overseas would buy it. Set up two matches per day, John against Thorsten straight pool in the afternoon match and SVB against Dennis in the evening. Maybe even a Corey against Parica one-pocket match.

Bring in the league players from around the states to watch Jesse Bowman/Matlock/SVB/Walden/Townsend 8-ball on a bar table. Advertise through the leagues and you'd be amazed at how many would love to see REAL 8-ball played.

It's not about what we want, it's about what sells. These guys need to make some money off this stuff and 8-ball, whether you like it or not is the most popular pool game in the US by a landslide.

Well, I don't have PayPal, but my brother said he'd use his PayPal account to pay for tonight's match.

I went to the TAR website and just learned that if you don't have 20 bucks in your PayPal account that PayPal issues an e-check, which takes 3 to 4 days. Meanwhile, you cannot get access to the match unless you use this PayPal e-check method AHEAD of time. My brother doesn't have 20 bucks in his PayPal account right now. If we purchase it tonight, the PayPal e-check takes 3 to 4 days to clear, and of course, the match will be over.

Because I procrastinated, I won't be able to buy tonight's match. I am totally bummed. That's what I get for waiting until the last minute. :(

Paypal extracts the money straight from your checkinh account.

You may use a debit card...it will work immediately.

I purchased the three day pkg. at about 5:40 on Thurs. About 10 minutes after the match started. It worked as soon as i paid for it. No problems at all.

When I went to the TAR website, it said click this link before purchasing, and so I did.

Here is the message written in orange:

I dont know about the echeck. I've never had any money in my paypal account and I fund with my bank account and I've been fine both times. It may have to do with how many verified transactions you have.
