This match took 3 hrs!! It was a race to 7, 8 ball.

One player was put on the clock in the beginning of the match and during the match was warned, the other was as professional as could be and was cool as a cucumber. (mostly) :)

That must have been more painful to do the commentary than it was to watch. I know it was for me.
How many times can a person study a shot and walk around the table.

I think Durbin is often "enhanced". Even if he's not, it looks like all the years of stimulating his brain has messed him up. He looked way too jittery. I watched the first game (28 minutes) and gave up.

Wow! I've seen Eric play 100's of times and he used to always play fast and loose.. He and I are from the same pool room, home town.. Have not seen anything like this before!

I wont even look at the video of that one. I wouldn't take money to watch professionals play that slow. We have new players in out league that don't take that long to play. This kind on sharking deserves some kind of penalty.

Eric is trying to do better after a long layoff of pool.

Let's hope for the best. I don't know if I can take another match this slow.

painful

I was offered $$ by a room owner to film him playing Eric one pocket .I declined respectfully .

I forced myself to watch through the second break shot. Amazing composure that Edwin guy's got.

I suspect, at that level of a big tourney, that I'd have an official watching full-time by then.

I think there is more than meets the eye here.
Have they played before?
I think this was a deliberate decision on Eric's part...
..it may have been to get even for a previous match....
..'cause I have seen Edwin play that slow.

I think this is right. These 2 were matching up before this match, at the event. I'm also guessing there was some history prior to this event.

At one time I thought Eric played better than Corey Deuel. He ran a 12 on Hennessee one time at The Rack that only took like 20 min.

Even before his "layoff",I always heard he was more or less "permanently" assisted, maybe even hindered, depending on how you look at it.

The story associated with it is one of those I truly hope had more to it. Tommy D.

What a display of pure crap. From stall tactics to intentional sharking,
this guy is the pure example why people get the sh-t kicked out them in a pool-room.What a wanker!!

That was brutal to watch.

I'm sure ABC Sports is chomping at the bit to televise stuff like this. Not!

What a Wanker. Yes. I watched about 10 minutes before I decided the guys new name should be Wank Wankington.

I'd go back to AZ hoping there would be some new posts and come back to the TV table. The guy would be on the same shot. I finally gave up.

I watched the live show!

Haha, I endured the entire match watching the Live Stream. I even sent Ray a PM saying if Durbin was on the TV table again I was going to go spend 3 hours doing something else. I do not have enough adjectives to describe what I witnessed. Thank goodness I was unable to login on UStream to comment, lol!! That said, I encourage EVERY member of AZ to view this match. You will learn a lot. Especially about what Fast Eddie called,"Human Moves". I would then encourage sending Ray at least $5.00 from each member who views it.

Eric Durbin is a good pool player, but he will never be a Champion. He will win his share of money. He will always find a game. He will eventually find his natural way. He will be replaced soon enough by other talented young players. Thanks Ray for sharing this match.

What good is a shot clock if you don't do anything with it? This guy's match should have been forfeited before it even started it took him so long just to break. That would never happen if I was the TD.
