9 Ball the movie

It's not the worst movie that I've seen. I think that there were things that could have been better, but the intent of the film was good. The main character had to over come many negative hurdles in her life. Pool just happened to be something that she happend to be gifted at, the sad part was it was forced upon her by her crooked family.
As, a whole I think that the pool playing community should support the effort so that it will at least send a message to Hollywood that there is interest in projects of this nature. That will hopefully ensure that the next project will get more support.

9 ball — the movie
Have been watching episodes periodically. I appreciate the movie (shorts) for it's artistic concept (pool) and storyline in general. Glad to see another pool film is being done.
No disrespect but the acting overall leaves a lot to be desired! Ms. Barreta actually has some great moments. If she could work on some of the redundancy movements she could actually be pretty darn good!
I know, I know. Doesn't sound good to criticize negatively. Well....9 ball folks if you are looking for an actor for future projects just look me up.

I ordered it last week. I haven't heard rave reviews about it but at least it' a pool movie. Remember what the Hustler did for pool? And then the Color of Money? We need a new, well produced/directed movie with well-known actors. Something like that may put pool back on the rebound. I'm not saying that this movie won't help, however the chances of it becoming widespread going straight to DVD make the odds pretty long that it will generate any kind of resurgence in pool.

If the feedback is positive enough and sales are strong enough, then possibly somebody might consider writing a screenplay to follow up the Hustler/TCOM series. Who wouldn't like to see the aging Vincent bringing a new young player into the game.

I agree, Netflix, iTunes, and Amazon.
My copy arrived yesterday in a paper sleeve (no hard case). Rodney and I went to throw it on last night, only to discover that the DVD was cracked. The disc wouldnt load. Seems cutting costs and not using real cases may cost them in the long run.
Some of us pre-bought to support the movie. I wonder if they will ever get around to honoring those commitments. I would normally support pool-related ventures, but I refuse to pay for something twice. I already bought it once and haven't received it. Who is to say I will receive it if I buy it again. I know I paid next to nothing originally, but that is no argument as it is the price they requested.
