90/90 pivot

Who can beat who has no bearing whatsoever on the merits of pivot systems. There's more to the game than just pocketing balls. That said, the video I posted shows exactly what I said it would. Pivot length is immaterial when used properly.

If someone can't see that from the video, or from the explanations already given in this thread, then I have to say that they simply don't want to understand it. So, no matter what is said, they still won't understand. That's fine with me. But, before you go knocking it, maybe you should look for the reasons so many understand, yet you can't.;)

I can't speak for anyone but myself but I have no doubt you're a reasonably skilled player. I'm also positive you don't have anywhere close to a solid working knowledge of CTE, Pro One or 90/90 but that doesn't seem to prevent from frequently posting disparaging comments about those systems. I don't recall any of the CTE advocates posting uninformed negative comments on your bhe threads but apparently you don't possess the same level of respect.

Exactly -- It'd be like me posting in a BHE thread started by Colin. I don't even know what I don't know about that crap and am a fish out of water, so I wouldn't post based on anything beyond my own experiences and would mostly post questions and not answers. Or, if Colin would make a thread about how to break a rack at 50mph, I wouldn't open my mouth -- I'd just read and learn.

Here, guys like Colin and Duckie just don't have a functional knowledge of the system while playing on a table, yet they post answers to questions with authoritativeness. Mind boggling.

I try hard not to disparage anyone nob. I'd stay out of the threads more if my name or suggestions didn't come into conversation. I'm actually happy and curious that players like yourself find great success with it. As a thinker, I'm always curious how. Yeah, I haven't studied everything to the depth you have, so I try not to make assumptions. I just ask the odd question.

Most of the other diatribe comes from responding to allegations.

It's not crap (denial mode) LOL. Taken on the chin with a grin :) I haven't presented nearly enough to make it useable for most.

I'll likely have some rabid deniers when I try to do so... cheers :)

I use BHE, I know it's not crap... I used the word crap liberally.

Re-post that 24 because I'm genuinely interested in watching it. That's a good run. Then, I can move on to Duckie.

I think you mean this one Dave: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=miQYCXDID6E&index=14&list=UUlFdflujASX2mGHSTqgbaEQ. I edited a few early shots for timeliness, never thinking it would come under investigation... Balls would probably move if I'd reset them, but the continuous run towards the end may imply integrity.

I've learned BHE is simple for some shots, but complex if it is to be applied to some more diffivult shots. But I've developed pretty good ways to deal with most shots. That said, if one can't align well for a firm stun angle pot, then it's all worth naught.

Duckie - where are you? Post a video of a run or a package unedited. Let's see what you got, playa.

Edit: Cranfield arrows not allowed during the run.

I can't stand watching it because of the edited jumps in the video. Sorry, my mind disengages when I see video editing.

Colin, just so you know, I'm always going to hate you just a little because your break makes me green with envy. :sorry:

C'mon Dave, I think it was my first 4 shots... I started slow, coz in those days, having a cam on made me nervous, and I'm a hella slow player by nature.

I couldn't make it past the first 2 jumps. If it stops after that, I'll rewatch. Even if you're slow, let the viewer fast forward instead of chopping the video.

Come on now, Dave.

You could let Duckie use the arrow on every shot, and he still wouldn't run 30

Point taken, at the time, it was a demonstration about a training method, to run out both sets, kinda like playing oneself.

Happy birthday and cheers. Ole ole ole oleeeee!!

This might be a mean spirited comment, but it is still interesting. I wonder how many more balls an average player could run with an aiming aid like the Cranfeld arrow or similar? I wouldn't bet a lot on huge improvements, that's for sure.

Please forgive me, but why would you think that when the whole idea behind CTE is that it's better because it has 'objective' points from which to arrive at the shot line?

The Cranefield arrow would give you an objective point of aim that is the bottom of the ghost ball vertical axis.

The problem is that you can't use it in real play.
Please forgive me, but I don't see your logic.

Best Wishes,
Rick

PS I like very many of you posts.
