you upload it somewhere online.

there is some sites that can give you a space to upload some pictures, but some people uses their own web space accounts.

then when you have that picture online somewhere, copy the link say its something like "http://www.the_adress_of_ur_storage.com/pic_name.jpg" as an example. then write it in the post like this.

url] <-----

but remove the arrows .... the ---> and <--- "i just added them so it actually show for you. because i tried without arrows and the forum thought its actually a pic. so ;)"

and it will appear. bingo:)

host your picture on imageshack.us.

copy the direct link to the image which is at the bottom once you have hosted it.

clcik the little picture icon when you are posting your message in the thread, and a dialogue box will pop up. paste the link in there.

which is basically what asbani said above, only he's manually typed in the picture tags.

Title says it all folks. I need a tutorial on how to post pics in your thread.

Thanks, John

I have posted this before... they should make this a sticky - right under the Cuetable instructions

Find a photo/image hosting site such as photbucket and upload your photos. They will assign a url to the image file

the url will look like this
http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u151/Dsapolis/00001picturespost.jpg

You come back to the forum and when replying to or starting a thread, click the button in the red circle

00001picturespost.jpg

It will ask you for the url for the image...paste it in there - continue with the text and hit "submit reply" - and your image will appear in the post.

There's a half-a-dozen ways to do it, using hosting picture websites, as described above.

I like the below-referenced way best, which is reducing the pixels in the picture files. Some folks post pictures from the hosting picture websites that are, quite frankly, too large for the message windows, and it ruins the entire thread for some readers, having to scroll from left to right to read the words written by others, due to the extremely large pictures that were posted here via links from hosting picture websites, like Photobucket, et cetera.

Yes, I have a Photobucket account because there is one forum I frequent which won't allow you to post pictures as easily as AzBilliards does. The easiest way, thanks to AzBilliards forum format, is this:

Go to your START button on your computer, and then look through your programs. Click the one entitled PAINT.

At the top of the PAINT window, click IMAGE.

Then click STRETCH/SKEW.

Reduce the HORIZONTAL and VERTICAL from 100. I usually make them 35 each.

Then SAVE the picture on your DESKTOP, renaming it.

You should then have no problem uploading this renamed file from your DESKTOP to this forum as an attachment.

Practice good posting etiquette and reduce your picture pixels, as opposed to posting huge pictures that ruin threads for others.

Hope that helps. :)

After you reduce your pixels via the PAINT software, then you are ready to add the picture to your posts.

Just click MANAGE ATTACHMENTS at the bottom of the MESSAGE window, and upload your new-and-improved, reduced-pixel picture file.

Piece of cake! :p
