9ball ghost battle

Good shooting, spend some time on your break. Consistent speed and full hit equals predictable layouts.
 
Practice your racking. LOL It looked like you actually hit a much better break shot on the second rack and got a horrible spread. You hit a lot of really nice shots to clear that second rack out. Nice shooting.

We are so spoiled by the magic rack...seeing those breaks reminded me of the olde days!

In the first rack, I didn't like the shot from the 3 to the 5. IMO, it was struck about 3x harder than necessary, to get on the wrong side of the 5.

I am qualified to comment. I never falter from my couch. After beer, i am unbeatable...from my couch:embarrassed2::wink::grin-square:.

Well to be honest i usually dont focus much on the break during the ghost match as i want the toughest layouts to challenge myself. Playing 6ball ghost doesnt help much...:D and yes,i dedicate some of my practice time to break practice,i was just too tired/lazy to focus on my break more this time.:D

If i wanted good spread i would have used magic tight rack template ;) and thanks for compliments:)

Well i started to practice my break shot without racking template after i encountered some tournaments where using racking templates can be banned by your opponent. Anyway this vid doesnt show my usual breaking as i really didnt care about the break against the ghost;) as for the position from 3 to 5 (it was actually 4) i can understand your point of view BUT i still think i played it the right way because i needed to get on 6 from the right because of 8 which could have messed with my position on 7-if i played the position from 4 to 6 the way you proposed i would have probably get on the 6 from left which may be quite troublesome for next position imho..:confused:

There are 3 issues with that shot:
1) 1 was too close to the long rail to put cb in the position to play combo
2) even if i played the combo i wouldnt be able to predict precise enough where 1 would end,it could have kissed with 4 quite easily leaving nothing
3) even if the combo went good and 1 was still playable there would still be 2 waiting for you to play another combo
All in all i think i chose higher % way to solve that puzzle. Maybe someone will come up with another solution,i am always willing to learn new tricks,but the way i see it there was no easy way out from this one especially at the beginning of that rack.just if i played more precise draw shot on 5 the rest of the rack would be much easier but the position zone on 5 for easy out was like 15cm wide which i overran a bit (which was much better than being short)

Pretty good.
Don't be afraid to change things to use better position routes to stay in line better.
Looked like a double hit on CB when you shot the last 6 ball. If you played the CB to middle of end rail for 6 it would be safer.

Looks like nice equipment. ..place I play most of the time has tables that are jacked. Slow cloth, dead rails and gaff pockets. The nicer room is like a library.

Sounds rational to me...more than one way to skin ye olde cat.
 
I have seen lots of videos on the net of strong pool but I have never seen anyone who could run out consistently post videos of themselves doing it.

Second rack.....5 to the 6
If you load it with left english, you would not have been that awkward on the 6.
