hey darrin, it looks great.

just a question regarding the handle wood. looks like pine. or is it a laminated blank. if it is pine, just wondering what your thoughts were as to why.

Hi Jason, no pine in and around my shop , maybe my shelfs are pine lol... that handle is white oak yes oak. some of the best playing cues in the world have oak under wraps. I have seen a ton in my shop with them , when I did a new wrap for someones cue...

That cue looks a lot better in person than the pic's as I just left Darrin house about an hour ago... Cue came out awesome & held it on my hand & admiring it... Awesome cue !!!! Hands down on the splice work & especially after seeing what Darrin do in his shop.

Hills cue plays REALLY good.... I have tried 4 cues at Darrin shop 2 week ago. If any of you have a chance to visit Hills shop, don't forget to ask Darrin where to get some awesome BBQ Ribs shop.
Back on topic, the 4 cue I have tried was 3 full splice & 1 short splice cue. Personally I love the full splice feels & hits. Balance of the cue are great, the hit of the cue feels natural, move balls really well just gotta becareful not to over stroke because Hills cue gives a lot of action. Finish & fits are top notch.
This is my own opinion of the cue, it may not apply to some people. Also, not trying to promote Hills cue as I'm not a dealer or cue flipper.
