A cue headed my way - check it out.

Shizzle-rific
Well, I just picked up an older Billy Webb pointed cue. Very nice purpleheart cue with maple points and veneers in purpleheart and maple. Anybody know a little bit more about it - maybe when he was putting the Spiderweb name logo on the butt cap? I can't wait to get it, because it looks very nice. Just thought I would show off some pics, and see what people think of her. Very nice looking work by Billy Webb, and with 2 shafts.

So what do you think???

Thanks,

Michael

BTW - For the right price - SHE can be yours - like every cue I have(for at least a week). I am just not sure what that is:confused:

Congrats on this pickup Mike!

Nice find Mike.....I don't know anything about when this cue was made -- maybe Manwon can help and, I saw a post on here the other day from Bill but, I can tell you that my gut feeling tells me that you will love the way this cue feels and plays!!! Enjoy :)

> I owned this cue at one time,if the cue is coming to you from Missouri,if not I owned one completely identical. I had it re-wrapped and put a Sumo on the larger of the 2 shafts, the other has a Moori Quick on it installed by Woody Woodworth, complete with gouged ferrule. It's a powerhouse,no doubt about it. The guy I sold it to had it originally, and even called me earlier this week and offered it back to me,but have no funds. Tommy D.

The wrap

Nice cue, but I have to say, IMO that wrap is completely the wrong color for the cue.
Yes, that just seems to be all wrong for the cue. Gotta have something more black, then gray and white. Hmmmm - Now you got me thinking.

Anybody have a good idea on a wrap choice for this cue?

Thanks,

Michael

....the KooMasterWrapper

Mike, if your'e thinking about changing out the wrap.....I'd give Kenny Koo a shout and see what he could find for you -- he's a great WRAPPER :D

I would use White with Green Speck or Light Brown with White Speck.

> I tend to agree with you on the wrap color. The only reason it has black w/white spot is because that is what was on it originally, and the guy that re-wrapped it didn't have any white w/black or double-black on hand. For my own personal use, having a leather wrap installed would have ruined it. The wrap was done by Jim Turner from Streetsboro,Oh in July of '06. He said he signed it under the wrap. The original wrap came loose in the middle,I tried to re-glue it and one of the boards snagged and ripped it loose. It sat in my case unwrapped for 10 months.

You'll rarely find a nicer cue for what you paid for it,and even if you paid twice what I bought and sold it for,it will take you a while to find one :). Tommy D.
