i have to question your sense of reality if you think even Jenn isnt 'there' She is currently ranked 8th in the WPBA with only 2 Americans, Monica and Jeanette ranked higher. She won a Predator Pro event beating J Sossei and Tony Robles in the process. She is in the top 99.9% of female pool players on earth. She is 'there and she will more 'there' tomorrow-bet on it.
If I am wrong about her speed then I am wrong. But beating someone in a tourney once doesn't make you better. Would she gamble with Tony or J any where close to even? I doubt it , but I could be wrong. I am by no means hating, or belittling her speed. I don't care how she plays. She has put in a lot of time, loves the game, and does her best to promote it....more power to her. I just stated my opinion about the speed of female poolplayers.

If the separation of genders in pool ended right now....pretty much none of the female players could make a living other than endorsments. I can't either, that's why I work my ass of everyday, and barely have time to play. But yet I still play better than alot of them.

You' ve set the bar a bit high then. If the women have to beat Orcullo and Shane in back to back races to 100 to show they can play that aint gonna happen? The top women in no sport that i know of can beat the top men. They may come closer in pool than other sports i dont know. But being above 99.9% of women on earth and and 95% of men players is a pretty damn strong accomplishment.
No disagreement her, just clarifying my definition of champion speed. but in the same respect it is the statement they they are "great players" that some disputed, and everybody's definition of what a "great player" is, can be very different. I wish them all well, and hope they all become champion speed. I'd much rather watch them, than listen to Earl whine! lol...

Sorry if it seemed like i clumped them together, i tried to state that I didn't know any of them, and really wasn't speaking of them directly, just the difference in the speed of men and woman.

No one cares about that. What's asinine about her post is the implied charge of sexism toward her "haters," while posing half nude on a pool table. I don't mind it, she obviously doesn't mind it, but to come here and say all (legitimate) criticisms re her and her game is men hating on women...blows my mind how stupid a sentiment that is, and what a huge cop-out too.
Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better, but believe me it's not doing you any favors. This attitude must be the result of being subjected to decades of bestselling self-help books, Positive Thinking, your detractors are just jealous nonsense. Not everyone can be a pro, not every child is special, and pointing this out does not make you a hater.
And btw, if any posters are lumping Jen B with Emily and Borona, it's probably because of Emily's first post, where she presumed to place Jen B and herself in the same boat. I do wonder how Jen B feels about this lumpage.

I can read. It was Emily who lumped them together, in her OP:

Top 99% of female players? This is laughable at best as she would be a underdog to pretty much to anyone coming from overseas alone. Also as awesome as it was that she won a Predator stop, I've also watched her play guys beneath her speed & lose so it goes both ways if you want to play up that event.
That's 99% of all women who play pool, not just the pros. The point is, no one is doubting whether or not Jen B shoots at a PRO LEVEL.

To be fair all women who play pool are in the top 99.9% of players, male or female.

The attitude on this forum as of late is one of the main reasons pool is in the state it is in... Just sad as I fear the mentality can not be overcome for the better of the game except by a select few. Very sad!

Did you even read the original post in this thread -- try reading that first and then correct your post here.
That is not saying much considering the lack of women who play overall. I don't doubt she should call herself a pro as compared to Emily who at the present time has no business doing so in terms of skillset. This is nothing against her but an indictment on the state of the WPBA as most of those players who are currently ranked are there more so by default over anything else.
I have never seen Emily hit a ball so I am not going to comment on her speed. If she wants to post a video of her playing rather than pics of her in lingerie, it won't get as many views but should give more insight to the public that she wants to impose her thoughts on to her true ability.
The WPBA is unfortunately pretty much a dead entity with what, 3 tournaments in 2012 and the site promoting a $1500 added event as a WPBA event in 2013. This won't bring out too many of the top players and doesn't give much data for ranking/comparision purposes.
Let me say that Anna was a great tennis champion despite what most think. She won many doubles titles and was only lacking success in singles due to constant injury problems with her feet. They would kill for her success (except JB).

I didn't realize that the WPBA had fallen as far as it has and that the events are so few. But even so does this mean the ladies have to be able to compete with the men to be considered great players in their own right? Do the other female athletes of other sports have to be able to compete w/ the men to be acknowledged? Golf, tennis, basketball, skiing, swimming, etc. etc... I mean the list goes on and on.
Are male pool players so insecure that even our female players must be put in their place? She may be hot but I can still give her the 7 and rob her... LOL! To me this reaks of a man who can not measure up against other male players and needs some one to be better than... Just saying!

Then it probably does apply to you and I am sorry you have to bark at the girls to feel good about your game. Less time on the internet and more time in the practice room and some day you just might be able to play w/ the men and feel okay about it.
