I returned to playing pool after a long layoff.Bought a really nice Schon custom cue weighted for me and love the feel.I started to get into the local 9ball tournements and I never really got into it.So last week I went to the pool hall and decided to play the game I grew-up with 14.1. I was amazed how relaxed I was and how my thinking of playing thru the rack came back to me. I spent 2 hours practicing until I noticed that I was consistly running 25-30 balls before making a stupid mistake or was I just excited? The feel at being at the table and having all the balls in front of me making the shots and positioning my cue ball were I wanted it to go for MY decision for the next shot gave me not only confidence but a sense of accomplishment. Remembering to chose the keyball to get on the breakball was so satisfying. After the practice session I finally made a commitment to never go back to 9 ball and to continue to get my straight pool skills back. No more jump cues or break cues. Just me,my cue and my skill to see how far I can go. I think I will by a set of balls I know it will make a big difference and enhance the experience. Which ones do I buy? Suggestions
