He does make one hell of a travel case for cues. Rich aka the skunk.
 
Nice looking case

This is a very nice looking case, But the corners and I mean no dis-respect here, but in my 30 years of experience building these cases they require double protection on all eight corners. Unless of course you do not plan to use carriers or airlines to ship your products. The shippers like FedEX, UPS, and airlines will literally throw these things around and the corners will get beat up pretty bad. I remember sitting on a plan in the Vegas airport and watching the baggage handlers throw this on the conveyor and to my horror, it made it half way up the belt and fell off and hit the ground, Like I said this is a nice looking case, I have had this design in the back burner for years but with a few changes. Just beware of shippers and airlines

I appreciate your comment. The cases have a patented proprietary construction that consists of a continuous frame design inside and out unlike conventional flight cases that are made like boxes with mitered frames that require
corner hardware to complete the structure.
These cases meet or exceed the Airline Transport Association's ATA300 specifications which
means they have been tested to the highest standards regarded by ALL manufacturers of shipping cases.
These series of tests must be performed by an independent laboratory that prove the case can
withstand the rigors of normal shipping of at least 100 shipments.

I KNOW these statements to be ABSOLUTE fact!.....
 
Can you provide information on the weight and locking mechanism?

Are the holes tapered/shaped opening cut into a single foam? Is there maximum size shaft or butt length or width that the case will hold?
 
The hole's are 1 3/8 for the butt's, 7/8 for the shaft's. Hole's are not tapered so the cue can be put joint up or down. Locks are on the latches both sides. The foam is 14 pieces 2" thick. Case weight is 30 lbs empty.

Hi Steppo,

I have cues that have very fancy joint protector sets, and would like to know the longest cue (with protector) that can be placed comfortably in the case. I need to know the length from the bottom of the rubber bumper to the top of the protector that you can hold.

I am pleased to see the holes are not tapered; I like to put my cues in cases with the protectors up.

Also, have you considered any other configurations of holes drilled that would allow for a few more cues/shafts in the case? If so, what configuration(s)?

I had the pleasure to meet Branko,
and the opportunity to check out this case
at the WCCS. It is without a doubt a very
well built case. I feel the need to own one...
 
Hey Branko- great to meet you in Chicago. Lil' Kenny bought one of these cases at the show. I picked it up when it was loaded with cues and the weight was still comfortable manageable. With wheels, it isn't too much of a concern, though.
