Abe Rich Titilst Conversion

I don't go to Facebook, so I never see any of that stuff.
It's probably best that you did not...

It was in a question about a Joss cue and the sandpiper was in the photos with it and I got excited about the Miz and pissed off the Joss fan boys.

I suggested one of them choke on a bag of dicks.

Not my finest day, but I stand by the recommendation.

Just to give an idea of the level of quality of the pro cues, you can see the joint ring material here. It's a textile phenolic. The other cues use plastic.

People get that way.

I don't care.

When people get too much like that I post pictures like this. LOL!

I occasionally think about posting a Cobra or Mizerak for sale on Ebay for like $5k just to get a response. "Vintage" "Rare" "Collectable"

Got pics of the miz dove? Or maybe better to create a new thread? I'm interested in knowing when the nicer older miz cues were made (dove cues, the miz collection, signature cues, etc).
I can post some pics, but looks just like the 1992 SM-1 chopdoc posted. I still need to take some shots with it, so can't yet comment on feel.

Here are my 3 Mizerak Dove cues, The wrapless one arrived yesterday.

These scans are great, thx! Do you have an idea of when they were released? 80's? 90's? There was an Osprey that I came close to winning recently, regretfully...
I have records. I'll post some info when I get a chance to dig it out.

This is the nicest Steve Mizerak signature cue I've seen. What model is it? I want one!
I don't know. I figured it was custom but I was told it was original. It was in Brazil IIRC. I tried to buy it but was unsuccessful. All I have are pictures.

Some of the history is in this thread from 2016. Also, on the second page are the scans of the Cobra Professional pages from the Cobra catalog.

Here are parts of some of the documentation I have.

And this from 1993.

The earliest evidence I can find of any cues branded "Cobra" is in this May 1981 National Billiard News ad:

I think obviously a different line of cues, but still interesting.

Awesome, those Cobra Professionals look really nice.
Thanks. I think they are cool.

I have three now. The CP-01 Jump/Break with curly shaft and standard shaft, CP-07 with 2 original shafts, and CP-12 with 2 original shafts.

Abe didn't use Titlist blanks. He used import blanks that sort of looked like Titlists but weren't.
I believe 2 actual Titlists have been found. I'll see if I have records, notes, or pictures. Still organizing years of work screwed up by moving computers a couple times.

Chop have you ever seen this joint before?

Got it on what looked like a two-piece pronged cue with a weight stamp and I've never seen one like it.

Sort of like an early Schmelke joint.

Yes I've seen it. Don't remember on what, but I don't think anything like a Schmelke.
