ABP boycotts Berhman's event

I can assure you that Johnny Archer did post !!!!!! This is Shawn Putnam and me and JA are online under the ABPPros name ! Me and Johnny are doing an exhibition here in Gainesville,FL. and will be online here tonight at 11pm to answer all the questions that you have about ABP buisiness. We are looking forward to clarifying any misunderstandings that you may or may not have about the ABP !

Where was Shawn Putnam born, and what town does he live in today?

Hello All, this is the ABP. All board members and people working within the ABP will have access to this username and respond to some of the issues and also shed some light on other areas

That's a heck of a lot of people with access to an account that can have serious detremental effects if the words aren't typed correctly. It's tough enough to read internet posts and determine if a poster is kidding or not.
And what's going to happen when things are posted with a signature that does NOT belong to them ?
"That wasn't me. I never typed that. We'll have to look into who was online at that time".
All this 'community' username does is give the members of the ABP plausible deniability.

I understand Dennis Hatch has his own acccount here (Hatchetman71). I will be on the edge of my seat if he chooses to post on this topic.

If members of the ABP want to speak on this board, in my opinion they should each have thier own account (and by default, thier own accountability).

ABPpros, you better come with your A-game.... JAM is all-knowing!

It's amazing that the Dynamic Duo of Archer and Putnam aka ABPpros won't answer any of the verifying questions which would allow the readers of this forum to take them seriously. Oh, well, I'm killing some time while I'm re-recording a DVD, so I've had time to kill. It's been entertaining. I'll give 'em that.:D

We know that JA has an account here previously, and I thought that Shawn Putnman did as well, but I could be mistaken...

As I said earlier, one call to Eric or Justin and they could verify this easily.

Methinks 'tis but a ruse.

The thing is, though, that Johnny's wife and/or Shawn's wife may be the ones who *know* their passwords to get online. Most pros don't fool around with logging in and posting on pool forums unless they're prodded. ;)

And the wives don't answer their phones, either? :p

If the pro's wanted a presence here, they can and do know how to do it. or who to ask. This doesn't feel right. I could be wrong, I often am. (I'm married, too! :p )

They may be using cell phones, though, and not land lines.

My partner would not post here if it were not for me prodding him to, but, of course, when he does post, he's accused of being me anyway, so he doesn't like to post anymore unless somebody writes something that he deems worthy of his response.

Interestingly, my partner, Johnny, and Shawn all used to be in the "Ask the Pro" section. They each have their own member names.

i for one always go to the us open and i hope that all the haters and all the boycotters KEEP THEIR ASS AT HOME WE DON'T NEED YOU:confused:

Shawn is still listed there, though there hasn't been a post in his section for over 30 days.

If both are out of town and in Gainesville, they may not have access to their password for their member login. Truly, most pros do not realize the significant benefit of social media or social networking. They don't usually partake in such activities. Forums like this are not as easy for them to navigate in.

The APBpros member said they would be back at 11 p.m tonight. I'll be fast asleep. I can't wait to enjoy my morning coffee while reading this thread. :D

I realize that you are giving them the benefit of the doubt, and that is appropriate.

It just doesn't seem to be what the President of an organization and one of the members of the Board should or would be doing. Or how they were doing it.

Yes, perhaps they aren't computer savvy or comfortable. Yes, their wives might do it for them. I am quite sure these guys know how to use their cell phones, and could call their wives to make the posts for them, or call someone that they know posts here.

I find it difficult to believe, given the content of the two posts by that account. If it truly is them, I apologize for not believing them, though they haven't presented themselves in avery professional manner thus far. I am of the opinion that I won't be apologizing.... :p

Do think they don't realize or that they also realize the risk of being misquoted and attacked by keyboard jockeys who have nothing better to do?
I personally think any good press they could gain from it would be far outweighed by the grief they would get.
