Very good show tonight. All the guests have interesting info to share:cool:
My apologies for the delay, but we felt that getting Barry ASAP was worth the effort.

I can't wait to listen to it. I will do so after work. Good stuff!

Thanks for your kind words Will. Much appreciated.

I know it seems like a pretty basic objective, putting together a radio show. But the purpose really goes much deeper than the face value.

The pool world, for many years, has been missing a few core elements. And at the top of that list lies something that people have the tendency to overlook without even realizing it: communications.

Why, with the amazing technology that is now available to us, must 99% of our pool news and information come to us via written words only? It just doesn't make sense that we cant hear or see more.

Fame. Where is the recognition for what some of these players accomplish? You win a major tourny, you collect your money and go home. No papparazzi chasing you down, no news media outlets ringing your phone off the wall or beating a path to your door. You might get lucky and get a paragraph and a photo posted online. No fame left to speak of which leads to the next problem:

Player recognition. You know its bad when most people can't name 10 American pro pool players, much less recognize their face or tell you anything about them.

And slightly less earth shattering but still very relevant is the historical value of talking with people who will some day no longer be with us. Especially when they already have so little exposure. How cool would it be to have archives full of intimate conversations with John Brunswick, Jake Schaefer, Mosconi, Greenleaf, Hoppe, Fats, Caras, Rambow, FELS !!

Someday, our archives will fulfill that niche, and provide people in the future a glance back into the lives of the players of today.

Thanks for listening to my rant. LoL
Yall have a great weekend.
