Well lately I have been playing a good deal of that game six pocket and running into the 100s to 120s. I have worked on my mechanics a little bit and am playing better then I ever have so I thought why not play some straight pool, the last time I practiced it was many months ago. I have been getting some good table time in here and there at Best Billiards in Vegas on one of their Diamond tables.
I ran a 35 out of the gate which was a tie with for my high run, I played the rack the way I thought I was supposed to. I could have taken some easy shots and got over 40 but I needed to deal with trouble balls which got me in trouble with no shot. I was discouraged but felt I was playing okay for my 14.1 experience which is really none so I went at it again.
Right when I was about to give up and said last try I ran 41. I scratched on ball 42 which I made but got a bad roll when I went into a ball lightly that I was moving into a break ball position and the cue ball went into the side at a sharp angle. I felt that if I did not scratch I might have ran over 50 or who knows where it would lead. Either way I am happy that I accomplished my goal of getting over 40 balls, now my new goal is 50.
