Only a week to go before the Action Challenge!

The crew at The Action Report has been very busy getting everthing ready for the big match. We will have the PayPerView FAQ posted on the home page by Tuesday and plan on doing a free 20 minute preview of the PPV stream on Tuesday or Wednesday. You will be able to go through the whole system and view the actual stream that will be broadcast this weekend. The time of the preview and a link will be posted here and on theactionreport.com

We are very excited about this event and have been working very hard to make sure it is a success. Below are some pics of what we have been up to as well as a general look at the venue. We have been locked in the basement of Lucky's testing and refining all the things needed to provide the best quality coverage we can. If it looks complicated, its because it is. :D :D

Cool shot of Shane breaking.

It looks like Shane is using a different cue in this picture, did he get a new one or just trying something else while practicing.

Just Curious

Shane has been playing with an old R series Schon lately. He used it at the Derby this year. He uses the same Joss shaft on the Schon that he uses on the SHANE cue.

Lucky's has 2 levels. The main street level room is where the match will take place. These pictures are of the lower level where we have been testing and where Shane practices. It is a really cool room right in downtown Sioux Falls. Diamond and Valley barboxes except for the Gabriel 9 footer Shane plays on (and 1 new Diamond Pro/Am no one has played on)

i sure hope you make enough to keep on keeping on.alex-i don't know you,however---you alright

Thanks for the pictures...
Can we get a few of the upstairs?

Also did the pool room owner coat the basement walls like that or was it that way when he got there? Just curious

Please make lots of posts when you have the free test drive up and working. I would be interested in checking it out and I know others would like to have some advanced notice to try and see if it is something we want to pursue.

Another request would be some FAQ sheet on hooking up the live feed to a pool room's sports TV ('s). If some of the pool rooms had some guidelines they would be more inclined to provide the live feed for their individual pool room customers.

I would love to know the taper of Shane's Joss shaft; the actual measurements every 1" for the full length of the shaft. Need a digital caliper to call it out accurately IMO.

If I can find some calipers I will get the specs for you.

I haven't been to that room since the last big tournament held there, which (dobious bragging) was the first, and only time I've ever been double dipped, and it was by MR. SVB him self, race to 8 8-ball, hill hill loses, we played the finals at 5 am, but I'm still happy to have won the winner side, I bought myself for $10 in the calcuta, SVB went for $150-200, That was the first tournament after vegas and I was also proud to say that both finalists were using "Master Blaster" B/j cue's made by my brother and I, (shameless plug) I gave it to him in Vegas, he won his first Vnea title that year, he still uses it to jump with today,

GO SHANE,

SVB, SVB, SVB
