That sucks! :(

Tell Earl -- and I am sure he knows this -- that Keith and I are always in his corner, always pulling for Earl to win, unless, of course, Earl is playing Keith! :D

Congratulations on your new home. Getting it in order, moving, discarding of the old, bringing in the new must be a full-time job in itself. However, once it's intact, I know you both will be very happy. Pool is cool, but as I have always said, there ain't no place like home! :)

Today, I know exactly where my priorities are, and pool is not on the top shelf anymore.

Now Now Jay who said we are not together? And the home is in both of our names if you must know.I will be the first to say I was the downfall of our marriage and that we myself would like to try to work things out.Of course it is very common for husband and wives that go through divorces to put the blame on the other and i will take full blame. However,I have kept up with Earl throughout the years and I will do everything in my power to win him back and to put him back on top where he deserves to be.

Lisa, I am sorry for any thing offensive I said to you in an earlier post. I always liked you a lot and that has never changed. I used to be very friendly with Earl also and we'd socialize together at tournaments for many years. I fondly remember our tennis games and time on the golf course from years ago.

We had our falling out when I criticized his behavior on television at the World Championship in 1999. We did make up a few years later when he approached me in Nashville. I really like the old Earl who was not only a great player, but an interesting man to get to know. This petulant behavior which he has exhibited for several years now distresses me. And I don't think it helps his pool game either.

I think one mistake was that TD's allowed him to get away with it for too long. I never did and we never had any major problems at tournaments I ran in the 80's and 90's. You might note that back when I was very active as a TD, Earl was winning a LOT! Earl may need someone like me who keeps him in check. But that's just speculation on my part.

I wish you all the best Lisa. Maybe your influence can have the positive impact on Earl that he obviously needs.

Thanks Everybody I hurt him alot in more ways than I had ever realized until now.All I can do is try to make it up to him as much as I can.No-one ever means to hurt or bother someone in a manner that hurts them so much for so long.I realized my mistakes and I hope he can forgive me for that.I never really realized how much we really needed and depended upon one another but if he can find it in himself and i believe he can at least I hope he can.I need as much support as I can get everyone knows hes a hard one (ego) but hes got a good heart and I know you have to have to have trust and I need him as much as I believe he needs me .We make a great team you know.
Thanks for all the support.

News from the backer.According to Earl the backer never got confirmation of the date so that is why he was MIA.
Earl spoke with him this morning and he said nothing had ever been confirmed.

I hope this match will take place, and I am begging that it will be covered live here!!!

No threads on this forum gets as much attention as those who are Earl-related!

Earl the "nut job", "bad atitude", what ever I guess. He is a mutha freaking pool GOD and has been for some time. I wonder how I would react if I had seen it all and done it all. And if I won as many world championships and USOPENS as he has. I think I could have the same damn attitude. Hell, now that I think about it; I am just like him only I am without all the titles and I get that way when I drink too much.
No matter what he does, if I agree or not. I love the guy and I think he is one hell of a player.

Actually Earl is headed to Maine on the 11th for an exhibition and give lessons.
And Keith anytime you are in the area you better stop by.
Of course I always wish the very best of luck to Keith.

Where in Maine is he headed out of curiosity, I live near portland and if it's some where close and something I'd be able to drop in on I wouldn't mind checking it out if time allows in my day.

Jay,
You sure were a friend to Earl when he brought in much revenue in to your events and for your information Earl and I are working on a few real estate projects together while he is working back on his game just bought a 350,000.00 home not bad for someone thats bottoming out.Oh hello Jay its Lisa.

Lisa,
I had the pleasure to meet Earl on a few occasions. He is passionate about the game and winning. I wish him continued success, and hope he has a flashback from the first time I met him early 90's at the Akron open. I ended up with his cue he won the tourney with. I think it is great he is back matching up. with his desire and talent no one has to like playing him.
The second time I met him he gave an exhibition in downtown Canton and was friendly and very professional. Tell him a lot of us are wishing him the best congrats on the HOF and I would love to see him snap of the Open again.

hello Lisa, I'm not clearly sure, but id guess your Mr Earl wife, anyways. I live in the middle-east. exactly in Kuwait. I'm one of the biggest Earl fans. I really do like to see him play, and would hate to see him lose. Always defend to him wherever I go, in sites/forums/or even whenever somebody speak about him from my friends. I'm coming to the united states really soon to see Earl play in the US Open, looking forward to meet both of you :)
