Action in your local poolhall

Last night there was $200 a game 1p action at Hollywood. Two locals just butting heads.

I've been missing out on all those games :(
I have been to a pool hall maybe 4 times in the last 6 months.

thanks everyone for the posts, please keep the info coming and I will make up a list shortly. It will be available to anyone that wants it and again just a recap below on info I'm looking for.

1-City and state poolhall is located.
2-type of action that can be found there and when if only on certain days.

If your poolhall has no action and you want to post that feel free.
Please no names or speeds of players.

DANG! You should provide an address and telephone number with those stats.
Mighty fine stats.
This thread may become a classic. :)

Huntsville has some action. Shooter's on University Dr/Hwy 72 west. Card games, 9 ball, one pocket. The amount played for depends on the person you make a game with. Thats all the info I'm giving. Sunday nights are best due to a cheap 9 ball tournament that starts at 3pm. Weekends usually keep the poolroom populated with potential games.

Joey,

Anyone in the southeast knows about Diamonds and there are very few that can sneak in there without being known. Even if you are a "name" player you can still get played and if the game is right you can get played BIG.

This is the room where Shannon had his Tour Championship last January.

Chris's Billiards

Chris's Billiards - Chicago....

Like so many other poolrooms in other cities, the action is not what it used to be - but you can still get a game....

One Pocket: That's the main game here...mostly the regulars battling amongst themselves on a regular basis = average players playing each other for $10-$20 a game.....shortstops playing each other for $20 - $200 a game.........Any stranger can walk in and get a One Pocket game - I personally commit here in public to play any stranger that comes in some $30 a game One Pocket - just ask for me.....however, strangers that come in wanting to play for $200 a game will have to play my 'cousin' Ike, or my 'cousin' Santos instead.:D

9 Ball and Banks: Not so much.....You can walk in and get small action, but it will take a phone call to get a more serious ($$$) game.

3c Billiards: Unlike most 3c pool room scenes - most of our 3c players like to gamble....you can play for $10 - $200 a game.

I am originally from philly and play at Drexeline when in town. Great people and I was able to get a game right away. I will not mention names but I got played $100 - 200 sets off the street. They treat me like family when I'm in town (and not because I'm loser - only about 50 or 100)

Are you playing one pocket at Fast Eddies in Springfield
during the day?
since bob left out of there on easter a couple years back to meet his maker - the action has slowed a bit during the day - We all miss him!

Red Shoes in Alsip,Illinois has plentiful 1p action(10-200 seems to be typical). Bank games can also be found, but not too much nine ball. I can also attest to 1pocketghost's account of action at Chris's in Chicago on Milwalkee Ave.

Hall of Fame Billiards in Warren, MI has action depending on who is in town. Richie, Kirkwood, Chohan, Danny Smith, Scooter, Pittsburg players, when Ronnie went to Florida, action dried up, however, been some action of late. Can usually get $50 and up 1 pocket action.
