Greetings --Original Adams/Galaxie from the 70s close to Mint condition... purchased at Time Sq. Billiards early to Mid 70S has been in storage for 35years or so ---recently started to play again but cant bring myself to using the cue (dont ask me why) --
maybe it was the first cue that i owned, you know like the first car ---Lots of memories.
anyway i had a second shaft made at the Adams cue co.
To some people who dont know or get it its just a pool cue whats the difference. --- Well back in the day a cue was part of you we did not have all the web sites all the choices. man when i won enough $ and was able to by the cue i was on top of the world i was a player---well that ship has sailed but the love of the game has remained.

Thats a nice cue. I probably would not use that as a dailly player, but like an old car you have to take it out for drive once in awhile.

Good Point

Hey Measureman --- never looked at it like that. It's like an old Clasic take it out for a spin every once and while great idea --- have a couple of other fine cues to use. Thanks To you and petros for Your replys

Man I think these are some of the nicest production cues ever made. The design is second to known during the time frame these were made. There is so much work in this and the other similar models that they truly surpass all others cues made during the 1970's custom or production.

The only fault they have ever had was the fact that they were not made in America. Now I agree that many imports from the time were terrible from quality of the woods and materials used down to their finishes. In my opinion it's a dam shame all Adam cues are cast into the same frame of thought as the other imports that have never been their equal.

During the 70's into the 80's one of the premiere Custom Cue Makers in this country sold Adam cues along with his own. He would modify them for his customers or make additional shafts for them. He under stood the quality and craftsmanship of these cues and he was never afraid to offer them to his customers, oh and by the way these were the only other cues he ever sold except for own.

Some of you may know his name it was Burton Spain!!!!!!

They are great cues.

I have seen modern "high end" cues with splices that were not as accurate/even.

It's very hard to tell the difference without seeing them in person.. Mine is for sale if anyone is interested in making a fair offer on it.. I'm not going to list it because I don't really care if it sells or not..

Again, Great cue!/cues! Actually, It is very easy to tell the Galaxie from the Corsair. The Galaxie has the black green and orange veneers with brass ring work, and the Corsair has dark and light veneers (usually maple and a darker UN-stained wood) with aluminum ring work.

Anyway,, can you P.M. me specs and a ballpark figure you'd sell it for please.

Thanks for showing. Dont ever see them much anymore and never in $uch good condition. Very cool...

$ Value

Ok all you Adams experts! And I say that with respect, what $ value
Do you think the Galaxie in this thread would bring? I have had the cue
Appraised by a top cue broker/dealer ($3,000 for insurance purposes)
but I would be interested in what the Players and the AZ community think.
Now all cues even similar models are not the equal, we must take into consideration --- The Provence, condition, inlay work, etc: and this cue meets all those standards.
I am realatively new to AZ what a great place to keep the spirit of this great game alive. Thanks for any imput.
