AIMING VOODOO - detailed pdf

Awesome!

Hello all. I'm not trying to stir the pot or anything. I made this, mostly for me. But I can try to answer questions if they are legit, non hater questions. This is more detailed than my video, I'm learning more all the time about the possibilities of this system.

you can download the pdf here: (right click and "save as")
http://www.andrewcleary.com/aiming_voodoo.pdf

This covers more on using english, banks and more ways to line up. I'm sure I could cover more, and will when I have time. But I think this will help.

I've got TONS of people telling me my video helped them so I hope this helps more.

Thanks for posting this Cleary.

I was in NYC a few weeks ago and met with Ron V. (he's one cool ass dude!)

This is the perfect compliment to what Ron and I talked about. Your pdf can replace all of my sticky notes that I had to use! In my haste to get to the pool hall I managed to forget my notebook. Ever try taking notes on diamond systems using sticky notes? I don't recommend it!

At any rate I appreciate the time and effort you put into this.

I need to order the Voodoo aiming shirt, I had that shirt i could wear it when i was out doing my business at the poolroom and if I ever missed a ball I could refer to my shirt. Voodoo Aim shirts will be the bomb.

The "Edge to Opposite Edge" starting alignment aims the CB at the thinnest possible cut on the OB before pivoting. It seems to me that any amount of pivot from there would aim the CB past the OB with no contact.

Am I misreading that page?

It's not a true edge to edge--- there's a 1 tip overlap.

This is the only CTE I've ever got working consistantly (meaning as of yesterday).

The only difference is that i aim 90/90 and air pivot to the center.

I know you use ETE but 90/90 works for me.

Beats me!

Ya know, it honestly be the way my eyes are seeing the edges, but I start right on the objectball edge.

I would like to print this out b/c I know it will help me. It is about 23x10 so it only prints part of the page. Anyway I can resize it??

Thanks,

Pete

It's a PDF so resizing should be easy. What are you using to view it once downloaded? If you download Adobe Acrobat reader, you should be able to resize a print easy.

Thanks Andrew,

I was able to resize at work--for some reason I couldn't do it at home. Maybe a different version of reader.

both are the same arent they?
ete speaks for itself.90/90 the edge of cue is aligned with the edge of the cb and ob so the centre of the tip is at 90/90:wink:

Can someone please share the link to the videos? Lookin forward to reading this.

Thanks for posting all the diagrams. I've played around with cte and bought Stan's dvd Pro One . I know I do some sort of air pivot and feel the shot. All this info helpful. One of these days I'll figure out just how I do aim.

I'm aiming not edge to edge but about 1 tip INSIDE the edge of the CB & OB, basically on say the left 10% of the ball. Hence 90/90. I think this is the Ron Vitello method.

I have my toe on the 90/90 line, then I pivot (in the air) directly to the cue ball center. Honestly it's the only CTE that has worked for me. Believe me I've tried.

Maybe my toe somehow represents the 10% edge of the CB in my brain when I sight that line. I don't know and don't actually care.

The 90/Center sight line (for thin cuts) is a bit harder to sight but with practice I seem to be getting better at sighting that line.

I hate to admit this but this system works pretty good for me also. All the others with any kind of a pivot I drive a lot of balls where there aren't pockets. It must be that I speak New Yorkish. Thanks Tony for taking the time to put this up on AZ, nice job.

PLEASE redo the pdf in times new roman font. The font you have now is really hard on the eyes.

The real problem is that it is in all capitals.

Capitals are much harder to read than upper and lower case. OK for headings - not for bodytext.

Just a minor criticism on a great document.
