Alabama Members Check In . Almost 200 Dead in Tornado's.

Anybody here from azer ''rigmaster'' Ron is in Chattanooga, TN I think.
Hope all is well with him.
Jeff

I have a cousin living in Cleveland TN. and she said they had 4 go through the county so he could be without power. They found debris from Ft. Payne AL. and Tuscaloosa AL. in their yards. Tuscaloosa is a good ways away from Cleveland!

Marshall Carpenter

My friend for over 50 years , Marshall Carpenter, known as the Tuscaloosa Squirrel, lives in Tuscaloosa and I pray this fine young man who is in his 80s is all right. Marshall is one super individual and one of the greatest players to ever play...God Bless you & the Family Marshall.

I'm right there with you, Humphrey.

Bump it up for our southern members to please check in when you can.

When I went to bed last night the count was approaching 300 dead. Just awful.

My thoughts and prayers remain with those in all of the affected regions.

Best,
Brian kc

Alabama Power had a peak outage of 412,229 outages, still have 250k out statewide (they dont service North Alabama, TVA handles that) and that 95% of 250k would be on by Wednesday of next week to those that "could" accept power.

Obama just landed in Tuscaloosa to tour Tuscaloosa and most of the Birmingham officials are furious that he isnt planning on going to B'ham which I can understand. B'ham was hit JUST AS HARD but is not getting the press Tuscaloosa is. Pleasant Grove and Pratt City is no longer "there".

I have several pictures of him in an AzBilliards photo album, but my album seems to have disappeared when the new software upgrade happened. Someday I will have to get all my photos off my computer that's in the garage now. I miss having them when I want to post 'em.

Marshall Carpenter was inducted into the One Pocket Hall of Fame in 2005 for his legacy he contributed to pool. It is nice to be remembered by your peers. He is a fortunate man, indeed, to be acknowledged by his brethren of pool players. :)

God bless the people in Alabama. Hope Alabaster was out of harm's way.

My cousin lives in Pelham and yes Alabaster is ok.

Finally found out my cousin is ok in Tuscaloosa, he had damage to the North and South of him but luckily didnt take damage himself.

Please continue prayers for the folks in Alabama and surrounding affected areas.

We are in the height of tornado season. My family and I were hunkered down in the center bathroom just 2 nights ago when one got close to us here in central Texas.

Build storm bunker on the list. An F5 can clean slabs and remove highways.

My prayers go out to all that have lost loved ones and homes. Northern Al. is supplied by TVA and has lost half of the major transmission lines and a large number of generators. I've been working in the civillian utility biz since '94 and have never seen anything close to this. It's pretty challenging to maintain some portions of the grid that was hit hard.

I was lucky. A 150ft tree is leaning on my home but caused little damage so far. It should be cut down tomorrow, hopefully. Everybody is so busy, it took 24hrs just to get a tree service on the phone.

I got off work at 5:00 AM this morning. Looking down on Chattanooga and seeing large swaths of the city compltetly black was ominous.

Stay safe out on the roads and please have patience at the intersections without working stop lights. Anger only makes the situation worse.

Update:
After a few days of not being able to get through, contact has been made with Marshall Carpenter, and he and his family are doing well.

Sorry I should have posted as soon as I heard. For the first few days they had no services so I was getting no answer. But I spoke to Mrs. C yesterday and she said they are all safe including their son, and just got power back yesterday, but the devastation of Tuscaloosa is unbelievable.

My inlaws live in Ringgold Ga (about 15 miles south of Chattanooga)and 80% of the town is gone. Prayers sent to all in the south.
