Jessie Copin of Tulsa Ok gave me a call today.

He has been the owner of Tyler Strawns Schon STL9 for some years now if any of you knew Tyler you know this is a prized possession........he was a MANY time national juniors champ in many areas and even placed 4 & 3 in the world juniors......its an important cue to many in the area as Tyler was a very special kid.

If anyone sees this cue or one like it in the oklahoma region especially the Tulsa area please let us know. Cue is in good condition with a little bit of wear on the butt and shaft has some blueing to it.

Cue was last seen at Cheers in Tulsa Oklahoma

I wasn't able to find a pic to upload but here is a link to a photo of what the cue looks like.

That sux man.
I own a STL9 myself, it is an extremely nice cue.
I'll watch it out for you in the Big D.

Good luck.

Way too many of these threads lately. It sucks. Please have some respect for other people's property, things cannot be that bad (I hope).

Good luck with your search & thanks for the heads up.

Dave

Thanks guys.......Jess plays up at this place everyday and just let himself get lax on keeping the eyes peeled........when he went pee the cue should have went pee as well........hopefully with all our memebers and players in the oklahoma area we can track the cue down.......

it has been stolen once before out of his car and they found it at a pawn shop 1block away lol.........I told him if he finds it he needs to retire it to the case and leave it under lock and key b/c for more than one reason people want that cue as far as I can tell. I believe total tyler had the cue stolen once and jess had it stolen twice so far (though getting it stolen from a car and the poolhall are two diff things).......needs to become a closet queen if found IMOP.

It's his own fault for playin in that crap bar.....

That cue has been stolen and found twice already...... I told Jess when he called me today it was the cue's destiny..... he should just play with the cue I made him.....

Your friend should check with the pool room/bar to see if they have a liability insurance policy. He may be able to put in a claim on it.

Chris

I used to shoot league/play(live) at Cheers inthe 80's...When Doug Jones owned it, and if these kinda things happened, he would do what he could to make it right...This is the same Cheers on Mingo right?...Is Doug still around?...Maybe the owner can help recoup via insurance?...Better than nothing

Don't be stupid. He is the victom and not at fault in the least. Could it have been avoided? Probably but hindsight is always 20/20.

Things are never that bad. In the old days, there was nothing worse than a theif. I'm not sure why we treat such crimes with just a slap on the wrist anymore.

Hell I saw one of those dash cam shows where a guy jumps out of his car and empties a gun into the cop car. A miracle the cop wasnt killed. The announcer says at the end smugly. "The perp was convicted and sent to prison for 3 (THREE) years." WTF??

I may be stupid in a lot of ways, but you might get past the surface and try to really understand what I meant before commenting on this, unless you know Jess Kopin personally. Ask the OP why he gave me a green rep for the same post you apparently thought was cold, and you might approach things differently next time.

Maybe...he don't have any sense of humour..
