It might be an even match if I broke for Shane.

Me too. But sexist comments apart, how do you think she'd do?

Earl was breaking for himself.
So did Corey. Neither one got to 70.
Ya think Archer breaking and Allison shooting is better that the two?
Me no think so.

She pockets balls as good as both of them so Archer breaking for her can only help her. And he wont be soft breaking like Corey I promise.

It will never happen, but I like Allison (and Karen too) over Earl right now. Boy, will he be pissed when he sees this.:) Oh well, he doesn't like me anyway.

ha, it would be beneath earl to match up against a woman. that being said, allison and karen wouldn't stand a chance...

Hey Lenny,

I'd have to take Allison with 40 games going to 100. Her only chance with Shane is to take the breaks. With all the breaks and a ball like the 5 or 6, she has a chance to beat him. A good chance!

I just cant see how she can win with 40 to 100. Cory was at 65 when SVB got to the hill, I dont remember where Earl was at but he was around 55-60. With those 2 scores in recent memorie that would put Allison close to Earl or Cory and IMO she cant beat Cory and probably not Earl, Actually I would love to see her play Earl. I would bet on either Cory or Earl playing her even,

So with her getting 40 from SVB I dont like her chances, tight pockets isnt gonna help here either, sure she WAS from a snooker background, but how long ago was that? My best game was snooker in 88, I played as snooker as pool from 85-89 but that dosent mean anything anymore. No disrespect to her she is awesome but SVB is the favorite with 40 game spot. It would look scary in the beginning and if she came out of the gate strong.

40 games and the break then she is the favorite.

Why am I putting my lines in the street and not getting paid? oh well its my Thanksgivving gift to the world lol :) just kidding., and thanks to everyone who gives me action.

Archer wouldn't get to 70 if he played against SVB.
But, Allison would?

I dont think hes ready for Archer....JMO. I hope they play and I will take Archer straight up for the cash.

If it's 10-ball and they start from 0 - 0, Allison wont make it to 40, probably not even to 35.

If Shane spots her 60, it might be different story, but even then I wouldn't bet on Allison.

At 10-ball, Allisons break is not enough, and Shane would murder her. If it was 9-ball and the rack would be tapped (automatic wing ball), then it would be much tighter of course, but no more than 100-60, even if Allison would play her best.

very well said,

If archer broke for her then the line is +30 games -1.10.

When he was in dead punch back in 2000, George "Ginky" SanSouci (winner of the BCA Open in 1999 and the Derby City 9ball event in 2000), would give Karen Corr five games on a race to eleven, and the game was dead even. Though ranked #2 on the WPBA at the time, Karen didn't play quite as well back then as she plays now, or she would have needed only four games. I suspect four games on a race to eleven would, similarly, be too close to call, if Shane and Allison mixed it up.

Agreed. Sad truth is that men tend to significantly underestimate women in pool and just about everything else.

In an alternate break format, she would be closer still. Of course, no one race means anything.

But start her up 4 in a race to 7...best of 5 sets and she has to be the favorite.

Regards,
Jim

Allison played on a tour with Grady Mathews about five years ago, several different cities in short races nine ball and Grady won most of the sets, however confirming what a great player she is. I would still be surprised if she got to 50 playing against Shane. He's really on a roll right now and I guess would probably play anyone for the cash.
I would bet some personally on Shane against Archer if they played. Johnny, like Earl has had his best days already, I believe.

I shouldn't even put my two cents in as bad as I've been picking these matches...but. If she gets 40 on the wire and the breaks, I'd have to take her. Not for much now...I'm on social security here ya know:eek: Johnnyt

if they were to match up for the cash what kind of spot would she need for it to be even?

NO "SPOT" NEEDED; DESIGNATE A BREAKER (1) FOR BOTH PLAYERS AND REMOVE THE BUST ( NO PUN INTENDED) FROM THE EQUATION.
