All Members Please Give Your Opinion On The Following Forum Behavior / Issues

Manwon raises some very legitimate issues. I have been here a very short time compared to most of the folks posting here. In that time though I have sifted through a lot of chaff to come up with some very worthy grains of wheat.
Regarding the buying and selling of products, as I have stated in previous posts, the list of AZ members that I would consider doing business with is a short list. That being said, the list is longer than the 1st day I discovered the forum.
Yes the stickies were informative.
Yes the ITrader is useful
but the bottom line is and will remain...
This is a "Public" forum and what that means to me is that any and all, possessing the electronic means necessary, can represent (or misrepresent) themselves and their wares any way they want to. It is left to the individual to sort through and determine the who, when and why of their dealings. Another unfortunate fact is, this forum is going to grow and as it grows more weeds will infiltrate as they always do.
One of the best thing about this forum is the remarkable job of self-policing that goes on.
This forum is not always neat and refined. Sometimes it is ugly. It is simply a microcosm of life, complete with greed & avarice, compassion & understanding, generosity and always...humor.:mad: :) :D
At the very very least...it is great entertainment.

I totally agree, but it can be easier if the membership as a whole becomes more involved and the new members are better informed.;)

Kids don't just pop out. He had to know at least a few months ahead of time that a baby was coming. If he knew he might be busy with the child than he shouldn't have promised the cue to be done at a certain time. If you want to get further into it, the lack of communication was anther problem. You say you can't watch newborns and build cues at the same time. Maybe you don't have kids, we all have responsibilities and you would be amazed what being a parent will teach you that you can get done

I know kevin , known him on other boards that has nothing to do with cues and pool.you know jack quat about his business and what goes on in his life day to day , and just because someone know that a baby is coming that means jack. all kinds of unforseen thing arise with kids and life . i think you need to be watching your own life and kids before talking about someones family . and for the record , EVERYTIME i have contacted kevin he responds ... and for you speaking bout your kids is your business well whats in kevins life is HIS BUSINESS. grow up get over it.

I guess I can chalk you up as another AZB member who can't read. I never talked bad about his kids.

You may have missed out on the situation being discussed, and it doesn't matter how well you know Kevin. That does not in anyway change what happened.

i know exactly what is being discussed ,what can you mind read too?? i know certain azers are trying to blackball someone for no good reason, you may not said nothing directly in this forum about his kid but just bringing up liek you did in your post about yeah like blaming it on having kids ,that brings up his kid which is in low taste sir.

i swear sometime this board is worse then my daughter's mtv chat lol

Look man, you obviously are not understanding what you read. He used his child as an excuse, that was only part of the problem. The threat he made was the main issue I have. Along with blaming everything on anything but himself.

very true . it took years for my wifes dad to finally give me permission to marry his daughter .:D man did i earn it lol.

heck i posted in fors ale warning on a scruggs shill game on ebay, and i got 3 pms telling me to mind my own business lol. i was just giving a warning but i guess some took it wrong way, oh well i will not post anything like that again since it is not appreciated .

I won't participate anymore in the Varney argument. I don't see any need in defending my feelings on the matter.
For those that wish to continue feel free, but the truth is that there is nothing anyone can post to make me change my mind about the situation. It's too bad the thread is gone. There is now no way to reference it. Everyones life will surely go on and probably unchanged by how they feel about one specific incident. Manwon is talking about a much bigger overall issue and this incident is only a part of it.
I apologize to Manwon for causing an uproar in this thread.

I've been warned not to participate in this thread. I understand the attemps to drag me into this hoping for drama. Its not going to happen & I'll follow the forum rules.
I would like to make a couple of points clear. BPG24 I'm sorry you feel the need to get into my business. Yes I promised a cue before Christmas, had a child and was late and didn't deliver until after Christmas. The cue has been long since delivered and everyone is happy. You were not in the deal nor have you ever had any dealings with me...yet you continue to harp on this and discuss my family. How many children I have or how late I am on a cue is none of your business...period. As for the threat...I made no threat. If I did it would be clear. I simply told someone it was time for us to meet. Funny how some will talk...until you are in the same room with them then suddenly they want to make nice & buy you a beer. Hell...some of my closet friends were made that way. If someone wants to continue to talk while I'm standing there in their face, well thats their own decision.
As for manwon he keeps complaining about me buying rep. Well lets set the record straight for everyone here. My rep had me on page 1 and in 18th place...right above manwon. This rep was earned by my deeds since I've become a member here. No matter how much daily rep I received I couldn't go higher than 18th place. Well there was a recent thread in the sale section..."Look here for something free" where basically everyone was swapping rep with each other for no good reason other than to gain more rep points. No one whined, cried, or complained about that thread. I simply decided to go one better and offer my services in a somewhat free way. Many members will now have new Justis shaft burnishers & a few free tip replacements as well. The thread was well received and everyone enjoyed it as evidenced by the large number of rep points I got not wanting a tip but just saying "good job"! Everyone was happy and no harm or foul...except to manwan who now starts complaining about me buying rep.:rolleyes: Like I stated...I was in 18th place on my own merit. The free tip thread simply bumped me up 2 spaces...I'm very sorry manwon that this displeases you so...you have my apologies. I felt is was kind of a good karma deal...and so do all the members who are now sending me their shafts for a free tip & shaft cleaning. I was simply trying to do a good deed. Now I've said my peace & everyone has the other side of the story. I would appreciate it if from now own everyone would act like gentlemen and drop the childish drama. I have a lot of work to do and I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday!:)
 
Sadly we do not live in a perfect world, and thus the need for Policeman. Plus as the forum membership grows, there is sure to be more problems. My grandpa use to have a retail store/contracting business that he operated like each customer was a valued asset to him. He use to say today I am a seller, tomorrow I maybe a buyer, and I want to be treated fairly as a seller, and buyer. Sadly we only hear about the bad transaction, and rip offs. But I would guess the good transactions, and happy buyers out number the bad one by many 25 to 1 or more.

You are right - it's just not fair how you are being treated. I think the forum moderators should make everyone sell to you. I just wish there was a financial forum that would make me loan you money.
