All Pool Players are Democrats ?

as far as a tournament being a dictatorship noone forces you to enter. if you want weight dont enter an open tournament look for one that is handicapped. that is just my 2 cents worth

So you believe that someone who works thousands of hours, shooting thousands of billiard balls and paying money out of their pocket for cues, cases, lessons, table time etc is looking for handouts?

While it is pool related - you will receive much more support in NPR for your posts.

You have been to NPR....right?

I guess not since you asked this particular question.

When they ask for a spot, a handicap both of which equate to an entitlement then yes I do. What else would you call it?

i would call it smart if they know their opponent is obviously a better player. you dont want to gamble you want a gift from a lesser player why dont you go play reyes or archer even up if thats the way you want to play. i have benn given weight and i have given weight thats the way it is get over it. Im sure there are plenty of players you would not play straight up.

When they ask for a spot, a handicap both of which equate to an entitlement then yes I do. What else would you call it?

are you one of those that goes out and looks for a weak player to abuse then gets upset when they are not stupid enough to fall for it?

actually whats worse than that are the guys that want to hustle someone and get turned down then the other guy says i have a friend that will shoot with you and they get all whiny like a little girl and say i was gonna gamble with you.

When they ask for a spot, a handicap both of which equate to an entitlement then yes I do. What else would you call it?

If only I could keep those weaker players from asking me for a handicap I could make a decent living at this game. But as it is, those guys insist on those "entitlements" to even things out. What is this world coming to? The next time I get asked for a spot, I'll say, "What are you, some kind of Democrat?"

No, this is not an NPR thread.

So, in my opinion all or at least most pool players are Democrats.
Why???

I say this because there is no way the are Republicans. Most Republicans do not believe in handouts, welfare or things like that. But pool players in tournaments and gambling environments all ways want hand-outs. Whether it is form room owners or sponsors they are always begging for more money added to tournaments, discounts on table time and spots during games. A republican would never want this so therefore pool players are Dems.

Just my observation.

Apparently you have already been over the NPR and you realize that you need to post here. Because if you post this CRAP there, they will chew you up and spit you out.

From now on I am only going to gamble with true Republicans. Because that way I know that when I beat them playing they won't be begging for a spot or as they call it in the political world, "an entitlement".

When you bet on other sports do you bet the spread? Football, Baseball, Basketball, Horse racing etc....? That's how they draw you in. Odds makers set the spread to encourage novice gamblers to bet, and seasoned gamblers to believe they can work a system.

The only difference is that in pool it is the players themselves who are setting the spread, odds, weight, handicap or whatever you'd like to call it. It is an enticement to get someone to pull money out of their pocket and step up to play so that their money might end up in your pocket.

If you have trouble giving up weight, maybe you should learn to assess your opponents game (including the pregame negotiation) or get a more realistic handle on your own skill. Either that or don't "gamble"

Politics has nothing to do with it. It is about getting money out of the pocket and into play.

Nothing wrong with asking for more money or a discount. That would be the free market system. The Democrat comes in when the room owner can't say no because someone else has seen fit to make the rules for him.

I can't help laughing at you Fox News Republicans. Aren't you even aware how you are being played? The grand scheme of the conservatives is to turn the middle class against the poor, so you are unaware of how they are picking your pockets for the "Elite Class."

Don't believe me? Let's just look at Representative Ryan's new budget proposal, recently passed by the House. It seeks to eliminate Medicare--yes, that Medicare program that cares for your parents or grandparents; it seeks to turn SS assets over to Wall St (the Elite Class); it cuts or eliminates Pell grants for college students and eliminates public schools. The list goes on and on: EPA, FDA, SEC--all there to protect the public from rapacious, profit-first corporations. Yet Ryan's plan does not significantly reduce the budget because it CUTS taxes on the wealthy and Corporations (the Elite Class). It also does nothing to reduce the outrageous outlay of gifts to the Military Industrial Complex, nor eliminate our Empire Building throughout the world. None of which benefits us (the middle class).

Yet you middle class Republicans have so bought the "entitlement" nonsense. As well as the "government is bad," mantra. Do you not realize YOU are the Government? We the people. Not we the corporate world of elitists.

You guys are being duped. It's as if you are being asked to build the tent for the wealthy, but you will never ever be invited inside. Wake the f*ck up!

A regular term on Fox is "class warfare." That's to suggest to you, the middle class, the poor are stealing from you while the rich are growing our nation. It's a smoke screen. The real class warfare has been happening for the last 30 plus years. We have seen the middle class shink in size and earning power, while the Elite Class has increased its wealth by a factor of 4; this, by way of tax breaks you and I will never see and corporate socalism. (Tell me, please, why Exxon and GE pay no taxes? None!) Now, tell me where the class warfare has occured...

Figure it out.

A scenario like this is definitely more like what I am talking about.

I want more and for free.

Also when matching up or begging for lower handicaps in tournaments. The weaker players always wants a hand-out via a spot because they didn't spend there time learning or how to play. And they feel like they deserve it. So basically there are expressing democratic tendancies.

You have actually proven they are hardcore Republicans because they
are theives and freeloaders who never want to pay their own way.

It would seem you must be a repub also, since you don't understand
the term 'political'

I think you are just a silly lil puppy.

A sponsorship is not a handout, it is a salary given or sought after because the person has the experience to warrent such.

Do not call me a democrat again please...i actually love my country

Its a well known fact that only teabaggers love America. That's why they hate the working class so much. Tax the workers and give it to the rich. Wealth distribution teabagger style. Next thing teabaggers will claim is only patriot teabaggers serve in the Armed forces. You guys need your own faux thread, not NPR.

Wow, what a narrow minded assumption to suggest there are only two views, personally I think most of them are self serving assholes and in some cases downright idiots (you know who I mean :D )
By the way I support the death penalty!
