All Pool Players are Democrats ?

I can't help laughing at you Fox News Republicans. Aren't you even aware how you are being played? The grand scheme of the conservatives is to turn the middle class against the poor, so they you aware of how they are picking your pockets for the "Elite Class."

Don't believe me? Let's just look at Representative Ryan's new budget proposal, recently passed by the House. It seeks to eliminate Medicare--yes, that Medicare program that cares for your parents or grandparents; it seeks to turn SS assets over to Wall St (the Elite Class), it cuts or eliminates Pell grants for college students and eliminate public schools. The list goes on and on: EPA, FDA, SEC--all there to protect the public from rapacious, profit-first corporations. Yet it does not significantly reduce the budget because it CUTS taxes on the wealthy and Corporations (the Elite Class). It also does nothing to reduce the outrageous outlay of gifts to the Military Industrial Complex, nor eliminate out Empire Building throughout the world. None of which benefits us (the middle class).

Yet you middle class Republicans have so bought the "entitlement" nonsense. As well as the "government is bad," mantra. Do you not realize YOU are the Government? We the people. Not we the corporate world of elitists.

You guys are being duped. It's as if you are being asked to build the tent for the wealthy, but you will never ever be invited inside. Wake the f*ck up!

A regular term on Fox is "class warfare." That's to suggest to you, the poor are stealing from you while the rich are growing our nation. It's a smoke screen. The real class warfare has been happening for the last 30 plus years. It has seen the middle class shink in size and earning power, while the Elite Class has increased its wealth by a factor of 4x, by way of tax breaks you and I will never see and corporate socalism. (Tell me, please, why Exxon and GE pay not taxes? None!) You tell me where the class warfare has occured.

Figure it out.

I totally agree with you, very well said. I have played pool for over 40 years and lived and worked in the center of the Rust Belt most of it (Ohio). I have worked in 7 factories, and now I am less than 1 year from retirement. There are very few good paying blue collar jobs here now. Its mostly drugs and more drugs. Going out to play pool where I live is dangerous. Its mostly small time dealers passing their money back and forth, and they don't appreciate anyone butting in. If you want to get shot or stabbed over a $2 pool game, come to central Ohio. This is what its like after years of Republicans being in charge. People under 55 need to wake up and take a hard look at what they want to do to medicare and social security. You are not going to have any. I am looking for someplace to relocate to when I retire. Its scary living here now. Its nothing like it was 30 years ago.

No, this is not an NPR thread.

So, in my opinion all or at least most pool players are Democrats.
Why???

I say this because there is no way the are Republicans. Most Republicans do not believe in handouts, welfare or things like that. But pool players in tournaments and gambling environments all ways want hand-outs. Whether it is form room owners or sponsors they are always begging for more money added to tournaments, discounts on table time and spots during games. A republican would never want this so therefore pool players are Dems.

Just my observation.

I'd be willing to bet that 90% of all pool players don't know if they're Republicans or Democrats. Most of them have probably never even voted!

I used to offer a "bottomless" cup of coffee for $1. I used to have a knucklehead that used to come in in the afternoon and buy a cup and have 2 or three. That's was ok with me. Then I would have to fight with him at 11pm because he wanted me to make a fresh pot of coffee for him because "I paid the $1 this afternoon!"

Bob

A scenario like this is definitely more like what I am talking about.

I want more and for free.

Also when matching up or begging for lower handicaps in tournaments. The weaker players always wants a hand-out via a spot because they didn't spend there time learning or how to play. And they feel like they deserve it. So basically there are expressing democratic tendancies.

No, he does not want more for free. The offer was for a "bottomless" cup of coffee for $1. Correct me if I'm wrong, but "bottomless" = infinite refills. He paid his $1, so he is entitled to infinite refills, up until closing time.

This reminds me of a time I went for All You Can Eat clams with a friend of mine. He had just completed his 23rd bag (18 per bag = 414 clams) when the manager came out and cut him off. An argument ensued and we ended up walking out without paying the check (to the applause of the rest of the patrons). The fact is, he paid his money (or was going to, until the manager cut him off), so he was entitled to all he could eat.

So in either case, this was not an issue of a patron wanting a freebie. It was an issue of an owner making an offer and then not keeping their end of it.

Bottom line: IF YOU CAN'T KEEP YOUR END OF THE OFFER THEN DON'T MAKE IT. Don't make an offer and then complain when someone actually takes you up on it.

Yeah, we have figured it out. We don't watch MSNBC and listen to rhetoric that is untrue. If you really believe that Exxon and GE did not pay taxes last year you drank too much of the Obama Kool-aid.

Exxons annual consolidated financial statements were incorrectly analyzed by someone with strong leftist leanings, and rather than make sure of his assessment he siezed on it, and made a bold, but untruthful statement that Exxon did not pay taxes. Not to mention getting a lot of air time.

Of course, the NY Times and MSNBC and the "View" could not spare the time to the get the facts sorted out, and thus, this perception became a reality. And the fact your boy B.Hussein Obama has been in office for 2 years, and you are still leading the charge of Exxon not paying taxes must tell you something? Why would'nt this "genius prince of politics" put an end to the free ride if it were true? Hmmmmm. Put down the kool-aid and think for yourself, as you don't have to believe everything Whoopy Goldberg tells you. just saying....

PS: Exxon paid over $15 Billion in taxes, not to mention the taxes paid by the stores selling their gas,and the transportng company hauling the stuff and all the employees that work there not to mention us poor saps, the consumers, who paid the city, county, state and federal taxes levied on gas.........

zerowin/ life.

get a clue, then some common sense, and then maybe a job or some talent, or something. but before you do all of this first grab your ears, good and tight, then pull your head out of your ass! then post on here.

most "real" pool players are very aware of there finances and keep an eye on what happens with there money. not a quality shared among democrats.

Ironic that you gave me RED rep a few weeks ago for putting a post in the MAIN forum about a pool tournament and was wondering if any AZ'ers were attending! Send your thread to NPR where it belongs, but I won't give you ANY rep at all b/c you don't deserve the time it takes to hit the button!

Guess you need to define bottomless.

Bottomless coffee is easily rectified with special sauce.
Tabasco, Worcester etc. Last time he will ask for a fresh pot.
There are other alternatives also but will leave that up to your imagination.

Um, wow, this coming from a poster that is always spamming the AZ main forum with tournament announcements and Live stream announcements when you should be putting them in the sections they belong in. You must be a Democrat cause you are taking advantage/abusing of the system set up here on AZ like so many other Dems do according to the Repubs. Then there is the fact that you TAX the players soo much to play in your events. YOU must be a Democrat. If you are not a Dem, you are a hypocrite. I am not saying your are either one but those do seem to be the logical choices based on the facts.

This thread is hardly NPR as it really has nothing to do with actual politics and more about a hypocritical mindset. But then you would know that since your events are a Democratic based philosophy that gives welfare handouts to the less educated players that couldn't practice long enough to play even in a tournament.

Hypocritical mindset, false logic, name calling, or just arguing the definition of 'bottomless'.......this not an actual pool/billiards related thread. Ergo, it shouldn't belong in the main forum.

So spots in gambling and handicaps at pool tournaments have nothing to do with pool. Hmm???

Did you read past the title?

So, the New York Times, one of, if not the most credible news source in the USA, does not have the facts right. But YOU do? Remarkable. Please share the source of your information. I would LOVE to see where Exxon paid $15b in income taxes. Please show me. Clearly, I need to be educated by right wing fantasy factory. While you are at it, please explain to me why we are subsidizing Exxon (corporate welfare)?

this is my 19th post to. Wooo Hoooo, almost there. Only 6 2go

BTW, I personally don't like Handicapped tournaments either. Get up there and pay your dues like everyone else did. Then maybe if you stay with the game long enough and win a few tough battles you might become a great player.

This is my 19th post and is ridiculous to view action thread

ChicagoJR: Still waiting ...

Still waiting for your "facts" about the $15b in income taxes paid by Exxon.

How is this NPR as it is definably pool related.

I am tired of hearing:

"I need a spot"
"I play here all the time shouldn't I get a discount"
"I paid 50cents for my 1st cup of coffee why do I have to pay for a second cup?"
"I am not playing in this open tournament unless it is handicapped cause I am a weaker player than Joe Blow"
"I am not playing in the tournament cause they are only adding a thousand and they should add more money"

Etc, etc, etc.

Your freaking moron: it's Democrats who are always looking for handouts. Welfare, free health care, you name it.

hmmmm

Still waiting for your "facts" about the $15b in income taxes paid by Exxon.

Sorry dude, I could not respond to based on the comment in your last post..

"So, the New York Times, one of, if not the most credible news source in the USA, does not have the facts right"

Based on that above statement alone, I refuse to get into a battle of wits with an unarmed man. I wouldn't wipe my arse with the NY Times. And if you believe everything you read in the papers, then Obama really is the Messiah.......

Take care, CRJ
