Allison Fisher Cutec Shaft Conspiracy!

Everyone says that Allison Fisher does not use a Cutec shaft on her cue.

I have read this for years on various forums and although I personally don't care one way or the other I am wondering is there any proof this is true or is it of internet rumors that's been repeated so many times everyone assumes it's the truth?

So exactly what is the implication anyway?

Does Cutec make her a custom shaft for the cue?
Is it a shaft made by another cue maker?

Anyone have anything other than speculation and guesses?

Try a pm to Kevin Varney. He used to or still does put her tips on. I had heard that it wasnt a "stock" shaft.

Best thing to do here is dont ask dont tell, a big piece her livelyhood is her contract with Cue-Tec and its best not to get into other peoples business.

I dont want to sound like a ***** but all this thread will do is start rumors etc that will not benefit her. let it go its not our biz, and might be harmful to her, I dont know. I do no no good can come of this thread,

No matter what shaft she uses she still looks good right? :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Fatboy is right. No need to start rumors.

Well I sure would like to know what she is playing with. Just as I'd like to know what Earl plays with. Ditto for Effren, etc.

If she is playing with a custom shaft on her Cuetec, why not make that shaft available to everyone?

Heck, they could even charge more for it... and that might just make them extra money.

allison fisher cuetec shaft

allison fisher still plays with cuetec cues but she has a new cue that she shoots with now it is a inlay cue from cuetec with a r360 non deflective shaft on it the length of the cue she uesed to shoot with was a 56 inch cue now she shoots with a 57 inch cuetec cue hope this reply helps thanks :)

from what i heard, when she was using her old cuetec cue, the white one, it was not a cuetec fiberglass shaft, she had a solid wood shaft on it. now that she's switched cues, she is supposedly really playing with a cuetec shaft now, the new r360 shaft. i have one of these new shafts and it is actually quite decent. the hit sounds a little funny due to the weird ferrule design, but it is wood on the outside and very low deflection, as much as a 314-2 or ob-1. i normally play with the ob-1 and my first time with the r360 i did not have to adjust at all.

Allison has always played with a stock Cuetec shaft. Only difference is she request a slightly shorter cue.

Hmmm...I don't know what the big deal is if she is or is not.

Do you think Tiger is playing with Nike clubs you can buy off the rack....Nope!...Hell I wouldn't even be surprised if the ball Tiger uses is not "on the market"

Can you get the shaft Allison uses on the market??? Probably not becuase likely (as MANY pros do) she had the shaft customized.

I say just call it what it is....A "prototype"

How do you think these major companies do thier R&D???

No one has mentioned the Cuetec Thunderbolt or Vortex shafts which are NOT FIBERGLASS WRAPPED SHAFTS! They are laminated maple with a graphite reinforcement through the core. It is extremely possible that she uses one of these shafts. Perhaps turned to her specifications, but still, there is no reason to think she's not using a Cuetec shaft unless she says otherwise.

There is a picture of Earl in the front of some magazine where he's holding a Cuetec with what is obviously a wood shaft.

I think all of Tiger's clubs are now available to the public. The driver he uses now he used once long before it was available to the public. Same thing with the ball until Nike started mass producing them. Matter of fact, Tiger still puts with the Titilist putter he's always used. Not sure on the irons as I cant see them close enough to see exactly what they are.

He uses Nike Irons.

Everyone single one of his clubs is precision hand tuned. If you've ever been to a Pro event you'll get to see the Rep trucks show up with dozens and dozens of "stock" clubs all dialed, fitted, tuned and very often missing labels ;) for thier pro staff. You can't buy one at any price off the truck for some odd reason but they are probably the same. :D

I should have worded it differently, I knew he used Nike Irons but didnt know which kind as last I seen there were Slingshots, CCi, NDS, etc. My mistake.

Nope. It says "TIGER" on it.:D

What's been said here is true though. If we've got Travis Trotter and Kevin Varney (both people who presumably should know) telling us that Allison plays with stock shafts, then there's really no reason to doubt it. And we don't need to be starting negative rumors about one of the highest profile players in the game.

Anyway, I've got to believe that Allison could play the way she does with just about any cue on the market, as long as it's straight, and the specs are to her liking. She makes shots with the cue, but she wins titles with her head.

And just for the doubters out there.... It's probably a bit old, but this is from the Q&A on her website:

Q. Even though you play with a Cuetec cue, do you play with it "right out of the box" or do you have your cues modified such as tips, shaft, taper, etc. and do you have someone local do your work for you?

A. I do use an out of the box Cuetec. All that I ask for is a 56 inch cue. The average cue length is 58 inches. Other than that I use a mori tip and a local guy named Kevin does my tip changing. (atta boy Varney ;) )
