i think the last i heard was that allison was playing with a steve lowmax cue ! but i could be wrong too she is a wonderful player i think if her and shane van boening had a match who would win!

I'll take a chance and go with the underdog
Shane even for $10,000

Allison may of lost a ball since she quit playing with a Cuetec, but I'm sure she is strong enough to play even with Shane.
Shane has the Cuetec advantage so this could be interesting

That's why they call it gambling

Hahahahahahahaha. That's funny right there!

Although, She is more than likely the best woman player ever...

If Allison played Shane with a Lucasi you would be out 10 large Ted.

What does FargoRate say?

Shane is an 823 and Allison is a 710. In an even up race to 9 Allison has a 5.3% chance of winning. Fair match odds are 9-5.

Best woman

I agree with Jean Balukus. Best even women player that could play with the best men at the time.

Yah never know

Never tell me the odds. Here, hold my beer.

Ko Pin Yi is a 797 and Karen Corr is a 726. In an even race to 11 Karen has a 12.8% chance of winning. Fair match is 11-7.

But Karen barbecued Ko Pin Yi 11-4 at the US Open 9 Ball

Sorry I drank your beer...never put a beer in my hand if you want it back! :thud:

Sorry, looked downstream on the thread and realized I was irrelevant again

Call me a dumbass, but I'll take Ko Pin Yi every day of the week over Karen Corr.

You are joking, right? Allison Fisher is my all time most favorite female pool player (I always loved seeing her play), but I imagine she would need a very big spot from Shane.

lol my money on jean balukas. Ask earl & buddy hall.

Really? So, you are sure that buddy hall or Strickland would say that Jean Balukas was a stronger player in her prime then Allison Fisher ever was? I do not know, but I do not believe it. Allison was an amazing player in her prime. I would be betting on Allison.

Why did she quit if she was really that good? Did she get burned out maybe? Just curious.

I had the opportunity to see Jean play Jimmy Fusco in a tournament in Elisabeth N.J. in the mid 80s.
I was really pumped up to finally see a legend play in person.
See played terrible. What a disappointment.
Jimmy beat her like a drum.
I'm sure she could play better than that. Maybe the fact that the side bet on one set of 9 ball was at least the $300 that Jimmy's side kick bet. Maybe more on her end.
Did she dog it for the cash? Who knows.

I want my $5.00 admission back.

Was that at Hi Cue owned by Mike Ash? Great room. You could walk in on any given day and possibly see Hopkins, Mizerak, Margo, Martin and Colivita among others.

It was later in time at West End.
It was a weekly tournament that had a lot of world class talent.
Hopkins,Jimmy Fusco,Petey Fusco,Tom Storm,Neptune Joe Frady,Johnny Ervilino and others.
I did watch Irving Crane run a 141 balls at Hi Cue in a tournament.

How can you compare Fargo ratings of a male and female player, when the female player received her Fargo rate based on her win/loss record of matches that she played against only other females? Fargo rates are made based on a players win/loss record , right? Think about it. If all of the female players did not have matches with only other females, then what would their Fargo rating be? We will never know the answer to that question.
