Just needs a pin, finish and wrap.

older Brazilian used to be brick red or burnt orange with just the hard grain being dark, now most is just a boring brown with darker brown grain, this looks very, very, nice

Very nice looking cue. Will look super sweet with a nice finish. Keep up the good work.

Looks like Cocobolo to me.

I can assure you it's not Cocobolo or my entire face would be swollen. Plus, I don't think it looks that much like Cocobolo and it certainly smells like Brazilian Rosewood, not Cocobolo.

Here are some photos with some finish on the cue. Cue still needs a wrap and final buffing. Maybe will be done tomorrow.

Thanks. Yes. No bumper on the cue. I usually have an Ivory or Elforyn Disc under the bumper with my name, cue number and year. I will put an Elforyn Disc in the back when it's done and spray a few coats of finish on it. This one is headed overseas, so no Ivory.

Rosewood

Another great looking cue Tony! Do you prefer making the Hoppe butt or the non-Hoppe butt with more rings? Just curious. You seem to do an equal balance of both. I like the Hoppe ring a lot. But then I like the regular rings too. :D

I don't know. Either one is fine. Most of the ones I've designed on my own have rings all the way through. All the Hoppe Ring cues were made that way because that is how they were ordered. Both look good in my opinion. I prefer that if it has a Hoppe Ring, there are no other rings except below the joint. I've done them with rings throughout too though.

Hey Tony,

Would this cue, by any chance, be at CC USA a week from Thursday? I'd love to see this one in person.

Nice work,
Koop

Don't lynch the Cocobolo Cowboy just yet- Cocobolo is a type of Rosewood, after all!

Seriously? Maybe you should rethink your user name....

Nice cue, Tony.

NAH, "BRAZILLIAN ROSEWOOD COWBOY" sucks...

on topic: I like the veneer choice
