Since I'm at work and for some reason they feel as though the SBE site should be blocked, can anyone give me the results from the Amateur opens, both mens and womens?

Thanks,
Koop

You may not be able to get to the main AZBilliards page, but try the forum link directly. forums.azbilliards.com

I did not realize he was an amateur. I know who he is too. Seen him at many tournaments.

Yea...I saw him playing in the Pro-Am and I thought he was a pro....

Played real good on the money table too.

I guess I'll never figure out the difference between a pro and a real good sandbagging amateur. :rotflmao1:

He plays in a lot of the Pro events and does pretty good in them. He is a great player and I consider him a great friend of mine. Congrats Jeff

Seemed like a real nice guy too!

I was watching him a lot and even asked a couple people who he was.

I had no idea.

Yeah, Jeff is a great guy, but "amateur" seems a stretch. Still, nice win, very impressive.

I was kinda scratching my head on this classification also. I too, don't know the classification criteria for this tourney.

He seems like a nice guy. Pretty mild mannered and respectful.

Glad to hear he's kicking butt at SBE!

Alan and company had clear rules listed on their website qualifying an amateur. No reason to question the guy if he entered within Alan's rules.

Congratulations.

There were many in that tournament that I would consider a pro. Hard to keep em out I guess..

Not a pro...

.. Jeff is a solid player ... not a pro... usually plays on the GSBT which are Non-Pro events (as do I, they are GREAT events!) and looking at the definitions on the SBE web-site it is legit....

CONGRATS to Jeff on a Big Win... (oh.. look at who he beat... )

If I could have received one pick and someone else got one pick, my pick would have been Alex.

IMHO neither are amateur. We need to reclassify the wording and come up with a new word. If you look up amateur and professional, then neither of the 2 would be classified amateurs.

Well. I picked him and got 300 for it the guy who had Alex got 160. I told Jeff about the pool before his first match and that I would owe him a drink or 2 if he pulled me into the winners circle
