American 14.1.................

They advanced four from each group:

:)
Alex wins a cliff hanger over Mika 125-119
Ran 55 and out

And (as I saw it) they counted one of Alex's legal safes as a foul and neglected to score 5 of his points in his 7th inning! So he won 131-119.:)

Aha....I thought the score was wrong....thanx

Won’t count as a record, they must have done that to make it easier.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What was they thinking? That's (going by Lou's standards) cheating because it supposedly makes the break and the game in general easier.

I've never.........

I enjoyed the production. Having cut my teeth on 14.1 on TV with Frank McGowan running a 140 balls in the early 60's, and playing Varner in the Midwest Collegiate finals at IU. Only thing I would recommend, and I've done a fair amt of this type of work for pool.

Use an overhead camera for 14.1.

Watching, explaining and getting the feel of straight pool play is NOT the greatest from a flat camera angle.

Overhead Camera with 14.1 is really the best way to View this game from a TV.

9 ball yeah, but not being able to talk about those shot choices, and outcomes in 14.1 is not good for the viewer.

Otherwise Nice production.

I agree with all but, it was as good as most streams that aren't free.

I think they, for what it cost us, did a wonderful job.

Fantastic stream
Super clear picture
Minimal commentary, no smalltalk, no background music.
Free

Other streamers take notice of what Billiards Sports Network is doing right.

True on all accounts.

They did a terrific job. I've paid for far worse.

Pepple that watched should donate a few bucks. If my broke butt can do it, anyone can.

Jeff

jup great stream and for free.
BUT mika under german flag and alex under US flag?
only in america i guess.

Also 2 other positives to mention.

1. I love it when streamers use Youtube as a platform. I can just pull the YT app up on my tv and watch without logging into facebook. Also it's easy to subscribe to their channel and get notifications when they go live.

2. I love the accurate stats on the screen. I can jump into watching a match and instantly know the exact score, fouls, the run, and the high run of the match. Also at some points I know they show some other stats they are keeping as well.

Finland!
Mika and Jani Siekkinen won their groups and got in last 16. Makkonen plays next match to get there..

High quality 14.1 with stats is best TV game IMHO.

I was a little nervous when I heard the commentators say that Alex and Mika weren’t updating their own score because whoever was doing the digital wasn’t always accurate;)

Its easy to get caught up in the trance though when someone great is running balls so I’m not judging. I like their score/stats graphics. Good stough.

If the players had $200 personal bet on their match, you could bet HIGH the score would be right .

Good STUFF, not stough. LOL. that stough needs to be baked at 375 degrees for 30 min. :)

Mind you I'm not the spelling nanny, but your spelling of that word made me Laugh ALLOT, I've Never seen it in print ''told'' expressed.... that way before.

I like the name....jaketherake. conjures up all kinds of shoughts LOL.

I haven’t watched all of the matches, or even all of any one match, but it sure seems as if there have been a number of them in which one player got close to the goal line only to give up the table and then have to sit and watch his opponent come from well back to either make it close or win it with a healthy run. Very entertaining. And, I think the switch to 125 for opening round matches was a very good move. At the high level at which these guys play, 100 is just a bit too short. 125 seems perfect.

They made that switch last year.

Have watched a couple of the matches, good stream. Even the wife watched and she's not a player. Only possible negative is the room is so dark you can't hardly see the players, nothing the streamer can do about that.

In my youth, Watching Lou Butera ''run around the table'' was good for the game of pool.

His speed record, has it ever been broken? I think it was a 37 minute 14.1 match, he wasn't running out, he ''RAN''.
