an old, but new aiming system

This is not actually a new aiming system I have been using this aiming method for over 30 years. Once you learn the system, it becomes automatic and you don't even think about it. A gentleman by the name of " BOB DEEM " sold this system for about $ 25.00 back then, and it has to do with using your ferrule. I give Pool Lessons and I teach my students this method, but only after their game gets to a certain level. I don't want to confuse the student to depend 100% on this aiming system, because there are always exceptions to the rule.

Thanks very much for the help. I'm sure that many posters here on AZ will be trying your new/old system tomorrow.

Whats a ferrule?

I'm ready for a aiming lesson. Sounds like fun.

PM me and we will set up a time for us to get together.

Thanks

His brother Jim Beam taught me... O sorry different spelling

Crikey, we have enough problems with feral dogs and feral cats in certain areas of the country. Now we have ferrule aiming systems?

:p

I'm up (or is it down?) for another aiming system, but I first need to know which it is. Old? Or, new.
I think I like the old ones better. I feel more comforable with the old stuff.
New stuff kind of puts me off a bit. Especially if it's used with the word awesome.
The price seems right though, but is that the old price or the new price? I think the price should be clarified since many of us are on fixed incomes. :)

aiming system

I'll try to get the system shrunk down so I can share this system, I'm not looking to sell anything, but to help anyone that would like to try it, I know it has helped me alot. Like anything, there are exceptions to the rules, but you can easily see when this system won't apply....I'll try my best to get this system online here. I have to be careful as I don't want to infringe on any copy rights.

Before you put a lot of time in on this search Mullen Method here on AZ. It might be the same thing you're talking about. Here is another thread on the subject. I believe there was a video that was put online as well.

duker...Well, if it doesn't work for all shots, then it is an abject failure (tongue-in-cheek), and nobody will be interested! I seriously doubt you have any worries about copyright infringement! LOL
Personally, I prefer the H.I.I.T.H. system. It never fails, and works for all shot situations.

Thanks eezbank, that is 99 % of what I was talking about, only mine was in the form of a huge foldout of the system. I use the sides of the ferrule to do my aiming, and shooting long shots, you start making balls with not having to do much thinking on aimimg, You line up your shot from the center of the Object Ball to the furtherest point of the pocket, in a straight line of sight. It becomes natural, and you don't even realize it. Now for the people who don't believe of the group, I think Buddy Hall used this system at one time and he took it one step further, and drew a straight line at a mark on his ferrule, I have seen it personally. I wasn't trying to make money from this post, I was only trying to show people and help by sharing what I knew about this system and that there are systems that work. If you try this, don't give up too early, your game will improve...Thanks and Good luck....the system I have was marketed by Bob Deem.....I have never seen the video that was posted on the link that eezbank posted. I hope someone makes good use of this information

Scott, I thought you ought to know that I took this product to a professional copy place and they refused to make copies because there is a copyright mark on the product. Right away some people think a person is out to make a dollar. Pool has been very good to me and I'm one of these people that don't mind giving back to the game anything that might help a player or players. I gave all of my pool students copies of this system, all they had to do was make copies of sections and then put it together. When I teach somebody, it's not for the money, it's to be proud to see someone you taught, excel at the game. As far as some of the other teachers out these, they can tell you how much satisfaction they get from seeing the improvement of their students. Money is not always the bottom line. I'm still gonna try to find someone I can get to copy this and I will send out a copy to the AZ BILLIARD members here that showed interest in learning this system, and I will even pay the postage to the member. I look forward to be able to get this done, so watch for future post from me here on AZ BILLIARDS. Thanks....Duke...
