And for my next trick, I'll make an aiming thread disappear!

Honestly, I'm a liar.

For real people, a lot can be learned from these threads but they always end up getting locked or canned.

Trolls destroy every good conversation. Toxic Waste dumpers on the information superhighway.

If I spent the time I wasted reading aiming threads on this site on practicing pool, I'd be TWO balls better !!!

Maniac (still on-the-fence on this issue)

if you can remove the lock on the thread... I might call it magic, but for now its just an illusion.

Yeah, after reading Mr. Wilson's warning, I was in the process of writing an apology to JoeW for hammering him so hard. I didn't know my strong response to JoeW would bring El Kabong to tilt.

And if all of the aiming threads didn't go south, you might be two balls better too.

Time to dig up an old pic...

It's too bad that most aiming threads were comprised of 30% info and 70% bickering because there was a lot of good info in them.

For me it all came down to what I was most comfortable and confident with. The way I aim on most all shots was more comfortable for me, but equally confident compared to a certain aiming system. For the majority of shots I just go with my way.

For certain bank shots I am far more confident and comfortable using the aiming system than the way I aim. I suppose I could say that I use a hybrid system.

Regardless of my using it a small percentage of the time it is still a very useful and valuable tool to learn.
