Good morning, afternoon or evening, azbilliards gang, depending on when/if you read this.
By now most of you know I've been promoting my new book, even gave a few of them away as my initiation fee, and Mark's idea.
What I haven't talked about is something else I have in my arsenal that's only availabe through me. For years my hobby was producing pool videos. Hobby, because after I finished, I put them in abeyance and didn't do much to put them on the market, even though they are worthy.
One is called "Eddie Taylor And The Legends Of Pool. It's two hours of pure pool history, including what 37 consecutive banks (constructed) would look like, which was Eddie's, and probably the world's, record. You'll hear testimonials from the greats of the game, like Jim Rempe, Grady mathews, Steve Mizrack and Minnesota Fats calling Eddie "The best of the best" Sit with Eddie, in his home in Shreveport, and listen to him talk about what it was really like in his days on the road and the other champions in his life. If anyone ever was qualified to be the sport's "Godfather", my vote could only be for Mr. Taylor
The second product I'm taking out of the closet is a two set DVD called
Archer/Reyes Shootout in The Rockies" Hold on to your hats as these two world champions go at it in a full on, "to hell with safties, we're going for it" 9 ball---8 ball assault. Watch "The Scorpion" run five racks of 8 ball then grab a seat while "The Magician" gives him a close up performance of close up Phillipino magic.
Watch Mr. Archer smash the 9 ball racks like they're his worst enemy, then run the balls as tenderly as if they were his best friends.
My announcers were trick shot artist, Paul Gerni and Bill "Weenie Beanie" Staton. They were both stunned by the performance.
In the words of Thomas C. Shaw of P&B Mag, "This is run out pool, folks"
Interested? There's more. Let me hear from you.
Keep it nice. Alfie
