Hey Mike,

I will definitely let you know the next event I can make and we will hook up. Most likely will be Snookers seeing there are no events scheduled for MA

Take care buddy,
Koop

Just wanted to jump in here and thank all for the updates, especially Jam for the awesome coverage she provides to us poor pool fanatics that aren't lucky enough to get out to all of these events.
I'm certainly adding this one to my list of must attend tournaments for next year.
Glad to hear everyone had such a great time.
Thanks Again!

Yoohoo!!!

Glad to hear he won this one... and it was a really tough field.

Great job!

...i also like seeing mike massey advance through the charts. alot of people don't realize what a great player he was/is, and only give him credit for his amazing trick shots. yeah, he can wow your eyes with his finger pool, but trust me folks, he can play too....

Mike Massey is bigger in person than he is on TV, and he is truly one of the friendliest players I've ever met. Everybody enjoyed his show, and he can play pool, make no mistake about it.

Last night when the dust settled and most of the players had departed for other destinations, Keith and I were hanging out in the lobby and up walked Earl Strickland. So the three of us were chatting about the state of pool and some other profound topics, when Mike Massey walks up with Boris a/k/a Bosco from Rochester, NY. They enjoyed a nice meal at a fancy Italian restaurant in the casino. It was great to see Boris, too!

Bosco had just returned from a trip to Russia and was accompanied by his cousin. Mike gave Bosco an autographed book and a few other items. The two hooked up together in Russia a while back and shared some great times together.

Mike sang another song for me that he wrote in the lobby. He's quite the entertainer and can do stuff on the fly. Not only can he play pool, but he can sing. He always dresses formally when he's out in public and has a great presence whenever he steps into the room.

...Efren is cool as a cucumber isn't he?

Efren Reyes really is cool as a cucumber. Poor fellow gets bombarded with fans everywhere he goes, and he never hesitates to give an autograph or have his picture taken.

I had to get my Efren picture, so I asked him if I could snap him as he was exiting the Exhibition Hall. Right behind Efren in this photo, there was a large round hallway in front of the venue. Somehow the way the room is shaped to include the domed ceiling, every time you walk underneath that huge overhead lamp with multiple lights, there is an echo sound. Everybody that traversed from one part of the casino to another via this hallway would stamp their feet, whistle, or make some noise just to hear themselves. It was quite cool!

JAM,
Wonderful coverage and I really enjoying reading your posts. I am so envious of you being in my hometown right now! Please keep posting and I will keep reading!

Justin, I did have a good time at the Turning Stone. It is really a fantastic place. I was talking to one of the casino hosts who gave me a little background history. It first opened up in 1993 and was much smaller than it is today. One of the best features about having casinos located in the Tribal Nation is that the vast amounts of land surrounding it are preserved for habitat and other environmentally friendly things.

This is "Dip." I hope I got his name right. He's a frequent attendee to the Joss Tour events. He was proud of this tournament being held in Indian Country and dressed up to the nines each and every night. He is standing next to the tournament poster which, BTW, were given away for FREE to all attendees. Everybody was getting them autographed by the players, even the casino staff!

I wish were were still there. By the way thank you and Keith very much for taking time for Austin (my son). He has wanted Keith's autograph for quite some time. He is very thrilled. Thanks again. (We left around 2pm today).

Hi, Pete. I wish I could have gotten a chance to talk with you more. I think I must have walked 10 miles a day in that casino (LOL), up and down the escalator, back to the room, over to the casino, back to the tournament room. It was non-stop action for Team McCready! :D

I did manage to snap a picture of Keith signing something for your son Austin. As luck would have it, I happend to click when Keith has his tongue sticking out! :p

I was pleased to meet you and hope to see you again on the tournament trail. The new Joss season is about to begin. We're definitely going to Drexel Hills, PA for Bob Maidhoff's Joss Tour event. That's a great pool room, Drexeline Billiards. And what about Bob? Man, did he ever have a great tournament!

Here's a picture of Keith, Bob Maidhoff who is the owner of Drexeline Billiards, and Allen Hopkins at a Joss Tour event held there last year. Keith and Allen ended up in the finals. Bob continues to host many pool tournaments at his room, and the man can play, too!
