TICKTOCK the IPT is on the CLOCK:

Will the announcement which is scheduled today state when the PLAYERS will be paid for RENO?

Are funds for future events escrowed?

Is an update with regards to the HO deal forthcoming?

Is asking for REAL INFO REAL SOON reasonable?

Let's answer these questions , make it happen, and watch the nay-sayers and doommongers scurry for the cover of darkness.
 
Little of any consequence will be announced today, except an announcement about when the next announcement will be.

Stringing it out ensures that the maximum amount of qualifier money is gathered..

I think he'll make an announcement. Sadly, I don't think it's going to be anything anyone cares to hear. I have a feeling that he's simply going to refresh the carrot on the string. I'd bet that he still says they're going to get paid, just not when. He might even get ballsy and venture to say "show up in Chicago to get your check". I see that coming in the future... he might not say it today, but unless he gives a date of when they will be paid or simply states that they're not going to be paid, look for an announcement in the future telling them to go to the Chicago tourney to get their checks.

I expect an "unexpected delay" in his big announcement today. I hope he proves me wrong....
 
It is only 37 days people. Things don't get done in a hurry anymore. Give the man some time. Gee, everyone is in such a hurry.

I think 40 days would be the right time, like in the Bible, so maybe this Friday they will make the announcement.

In the meantime enjoy the WPBA which is starting tomorrow.

How about them Bears? I'll bet KT and his staff are still celebrating that come from behind victory by the Bears. It will take them a couple days to unwind so they are not even thinking about the IPT right now.

Nope, not at this point. If KT has been telling the truth about the buyout being the reason for the delay, then his 1st email was an admittance that they blatantly lied to the face of every player in Reno.

As for the IPT... I'm not believing anything they say. Actions speak louder than words. ;)

IF there is an announcement today and they say checks are in the mail and IF the checks start arriving in a few days there are some that still won't believe. I know that for a fact because I've become one of those people.
No matter how badly I want the IPT to suceed it just keeps getting harder and harder to believe anything that comes from the IPT/KT.

You gotta pay more attention Jak, the reference to Tuesday (today now) comes from KTs letter (as posted by Linda) :

"I will communicate with you again on Tuesday with what I hope
to be the announcement that the deal is done and checks are being sent out!"

Right Dave, but there are 5 Tuesdays in this month. Maybe he meant November. Or December?

He might have meant the 24th because he didn't want to interfere with the WPBA so he would wait until after their tournament is over. I'm sure he doesn't want to be accused of upstaging the WPBA.

But then all major announcements in the business world are made after closing of business on Friday. That gives everyone a chance to digest the announcement and not affect the stock market.

I am sure that KT's announcement will be so great that it might shake and rattle the business world. Hold on to your savings.

Or some Tuesday in February of 2015 ? Sheesh. The normal understanding of what was written would be the next Tuesday. Perhaps you are not normal ?

Either that or the company listed on a stock exchange does not want to have their stock trading halting while they issue an announcement. And they issue releases on any weekday after market closing, not just Friday. Of course the IPT is not a publicly traded company, so this timing comment is moot.

Hey Jasper, my little neutered friend with the large mouth... I got a phone call last night from an IPT player. Seems they're giving up hope and really don't believe that they're going to be paid. They've read KT's emails over & over... never once does KT say that if the deal doesn't go through, the payments will still be made. Want to shed some light on this one?

Hmmmm. You see, Timberly, your little neutered undercover friend doesn't realize that nothing he says matters because its obvious that he's here primarily for damage control. It seems that the IPT people will only let you know what THEY think you can understand. They believe that they are smarter than everybody else, therefore everyone is beneath them and not worthy of an explanation. Its an ego trip for all of them. Any message they send out will be sprinkled with legal mumbo jumbo that KT believes is above everybody's level of intelligence - and it will be flavored with BS. We're all dumb - we'll believe anything - so he'll have some girl from the office pool type up an e-mail that is designed to keep the rest of us guessing. :rolleyes:

As far as Jasper and his Azbilliards damage control mission - I don't think anything could repair this situation more than paying the players and compensating them monetarily for this avoidable inconvenience. KT's a multi-bijillionaire and I'm surrrrrrrrre he can afford to do that. :rolleyes:
