I'll join in on the new member posts. I recently joined an APA league and am an average pool player. I came across this board while researching different cues and just pool in general. I look forward to reading and learning from all of the great information on this forum.

I also grew up in Des Moines and recently just moved down south after graduating and starting a new job. Didn't realize the following for pool in Des Moines and wish I would have I have tried to get in to a league or something more when I was there.

Lots of great feedback and great advice, here. Also, watch out for the potholes that sneak up on you, once in a while. Other than avoiding them, it's quite alright to ignore them and go on. Don't let the stress get ya, when someone tries to throw some your way. And, if you decide to throw some around, we'll do our best to ignore it, too. ;-) (At least some of us will, anyway!)

Everyday people here.. the good, the bad and the ugly, some winners, some losers, some whiners and some wieners. If you can deal with everyday, you can deal with the AZBilliards forums!

Welcome to the boards. I actually stumbled across this board while researching a comparison between a 314-2 and OB-1 shaft.

Where down South didja move? If ya live around me I could show ya around the halls

Welcome....i too am a new member to this board. I have found it to be both thought provoking and educational. I am a firm believer that the only dumb question is the one that didn't get asked.....but there are those that continually attempt to disprove this theory.......laugh....have fun...learn, and share knowledge.....Dan

Welcome aboard to you too. Like where your location is....it made me chuckle a little bit cuz I was in Vermont a few years ago. The entire state seems like a small town. I have to admit I really liked the feel of the area and absolutely loved the history of it.

There will be NO sympathy given because you are new! That just makes you fresh meat for the canivores on azb. Of course that don't make you unwelcome. :groucho:

Please... no bad taste Dallas jokes as in the other new guys sig line. Ugly stuff.

I do mean to welcome you with open arms. This is a great place to hang.
