Any Bad Behaved Players From Other Countries?

Never knew he had an alcohol problem..never saw him drunk.

Alex doesn't have a problem with alcohol......
....he might have a problem with being a party animal.
Unlike an alcolic, he doesn't need it to get through day.

Unlike the bad guys, people are generally glad when Alex shows up.
...and he wins and loses gracefully.

Every Citizen of what country belong where?

During Darren's post win of the US Open Barry gave him a warning for being very disruptive, and the same thing happened before at Bob's 14.1 event / Fatboy Challenge.

I didn't say he was an alcoholic PT, just that he has a problem controlling alcohol itself. He never seems buzzed, either stone sober or smashed out of his mind. I chalk it up to youth.

The higgins match-fixing scandal was huge, he was caught in a sting...
prepared to take about $400,000 to dump a major. It makes the LeBron Challenge of Champions dump seem laughable by comparison.

In terms of people just generally acting like bad sports, we have Fabio Petroni, who handled a loss by bashing his head against the corner of the table repeatedly until collapse.

It was only single frames Higgins was offering to throw, I think, not entire matches.

Prob more likely related to the fact that he weighs 125lb.

Wasn't it Higgins that got fined for peeing in a potted plant during the tournament? They mentioned this in one of the snooker documentaries you guys posted. I think it was "When snooker ruled the world" or something like that.

Alex Higgins could give Earl the orange crush at being a bad boy.
..the 'plant' incident was one of hundreds.

Well, there was always Alex Higgins, who was penalized for poor behavior, but he was one of the most heralded players of his era. His fan base was huge, even though he exhibited those Earl-like outbursts. In facet, Higgins in some ways broke the rules far worse than Earl. :p

I think fame in the pool world can sometimes create what I term as "poolebrities." They are well known in pool circles, but get them out in mainstream America, and they're just like you and me. The poolebrities don't understand reality as well as we do. ;)

Then you have the humble ones like Efren. In fact, most of the Filipinio champions are very easy-going and exhibit good tableside behavior.

When Alex was alive, he had quite a few distractors, much like Earl. Today, however, he is heralded as one of the great ones whose memories are cherished.

Well said.
