Im visiting for the fancy food festival. Our hotel is about one mile from the convention center, so any good halls close to the convention center would be great. We'll down there from Saturday to Sunday.
Thanks in advance, Chris from Philadelphia

DC doesn't really have any so-called "real" pool rooms. Most of them are bars with loud music.

Most of the better pool rooms are in the suburbs, like Virginia, or Baltimore area.

The only DC pool rooms I'm familiar with are these:

Buffalo Billiards

Bedrock Billiards
www.bedrockbilliards.com/

Awesome, thx Jam ill check those sites out. Hell if theres any bars with nice tables and some good shooters im all for that as well. Thx

HI Chris,

There's a private room in Adams Morgan called Bedrock Billiards, you can play if you're not a member it just costs a bit more. They had decent tables the last time I was in there.

Bedrock Billiards
1841 Columbia Road Northwest
Washington D.C., DC 20009
(202) 667-7665

As JAM already mentioned there's Buffalo Billiards.

Buffalo Billiards
1330 19th Street Northwest
Washington D.C., DC 20036
(202) 331-7665

Champion's Billiards
2620 South Shirlington Road,
Arlington, VA - (703) 521-3800

If you want to play on some really nice Diamond Tables go to:

First Break Cafe
46970 Community Plz # 2
Sterling, VA 20164-1825
(703) 444-2551

It's about 30-35 miles from DC but worth the trip to play on the new Diamond tables. Anthony is a gracious host and there are many good players who frequent there.

I hope this helps.

If you were serious, he is speaking of Rufus Carter. Figured you knew everyone in the area. :)

Man, I've lived in D.C. for my entire life, been involved in pool since I was 18. I have no idea who Rufus Carter is. :o

Maybe if I saw him, I'd recognize him. Of course, I've been out of the circuit since 2006, though we're recently hitting a few local tournaments in our area, so maybe I'll run into Rufus at that time. I'll now be on the lookout for him!

First Break Cafe has diamonds?

I feel a sick day coming on.

Bedrock isn't at all private, they just have a membership where you can pay an up-front fee and then get a 15% discount on every purchase and free pool from 4-6. That's the place to go inside DC.

But if you want to walk somewhere from your hotel, then Rocket Bar is your best bet: 714 7th Street Northwest.

If you want a real pool hall, then Champions in Shirlington is the closest place to go: 2620 South Shirlington Road, Arlington, VA.

Good luck!

Cory
