i had the high bid on this cue and got out bid the last second, i told my buddy that i had a feeling i was going end up with that cue, because you guys know i love kersenbrocks! i have never owned one of david cues with inlay work, except for some sneaky petes. the cue is going to david today, for 2 new shafts and a refinish, he already had the rings thank God! The cue had no shafts. the guy bought it in louisiana at a auction for 10 dollars. he put it on ebay after the 2nd day of the ebay auction the cue was up to 1800.....anyway the ebay buyer was bogus that jacked this no shaft cue to an ungodly amount of money. I had gotten to know John talking to him daily. He thought the cue that he called on ebay the "Antique Cue with crab logo" was going to bring 50 to 60 dollars. He called after non payment and offered me the cue...........The great part of this story is that John is a Katrina victim who lost his home his job, and everything he had, and had been buying things here and there at auctions and putting them on ebay to pay his bills.........I am glad he found this hidden treasure it could have happened to a more deserving guy...........i hope to have the cue in my booth at the Derby.......
