I know this has been asked before, but has anybody came up with a new solution to the black marks left on the balls from a Diamond smart table pockets ?
I've tried, as was suggested to use hand sanitizer, not just to remove the black marks from the balls but also on the pockets themselves. I scrubbed each pocket with hand sanitizer and alot of the black comes off but not all.
That didn't work, so I went and bought pieces of undyed leather, formed them and double sided taped them into the pockets. They stayed for awhile but eventually come loose. I've retaped them numerous times with the strongest double sided tape I can find. The movement from the balls hitting them, loosens them.
I'm thinking of taking the leather pockets out and let them sit in something to remove all the dye. What do you think ? Would the leather pockets be hard to remove from the table? I was trying to think of something to get all the dye out without damaging the leather. Any suggestions ? How about alcohol or peroxide ?
