It isn't for everybody. If I was going to modify one pocket I'd change the rules on up table games but it won't happen.

I've seen tournaments played with the rule that no more than 3-4 balls can be uptable at once (spot the one nearest to the line). I like that rule, but I also don't know how to play uptable - maybe if I did.

Ron, you are like some other people, who complain about getting 'bored' watching pool !...Makes me wonder why they gravitate towards the game in the first place ?..The rest of their lives, must be REALLY boring !...:eek:

I hate 1P for a MUCH different reason than those previously mentioned....

I hate it cuz I can't get enough of it. If I could play every day I would. That still wouldn't be enough...I'd still be hunting down vids of matches, and trying to absorb something from them. Damn it...I need to play now, I'll check this tread later.

1 pocket is the best game, you need to be a solid all around player with a good mind to play it otherwise stick to league pool having some fun on the small track or play rotation which anyone can who can count. :grin-square:

Love to play and watch. I'd much rather watch Pagulayan run 8 at 1 P, than watch him run 10 at 10 B.
 
One pocket is a game that, IMO is more suited for advanced players.

Chess is a game enjoyed by many, and real die hard chess lovers wouldn't say they couldn't watch it because it is too slow or too boring, rather, they enjoy it for what it is. They understand the subtleties. Same with one pocket.

Hey, I couldn't watch a baseball game on a bet, or golf, or for that matter .... any more than a few racks of 9 ball. All very boring for me. Everyone is different.

One pocket is the best game .. followed closely by straight pool, and IMO a more distant third would be 8 ball. I don't even mention rotation games in that list cause they are way way 4th place for me.

One Pocket is a game that requires constant assessment of risk vs reward. It requires solid skills in banking, combos, cue ball control and shot making. It's a thinking man's game. It's the BEST game.

If you don't like it you probably haven't embraced it lately. Power One Pocket is spreading like wildfire and it's REALLY exciting.

If ya don't like it don't play it. 1P is the only game I'm enjoying lately.

Does anyone hate classical music. I do. Slow and boring.

Ray, glad to see you coming on board, in promoting one pocket !...I know earlier in your streaming career, you favored rotation games.. And, they will always be popular with the average "quick fix" viewer !..But one pocket is really where its at, for most of us who enjoy watching top notch pool skills, and intricate, demanding execution !..(as anyone can see by the poll) ;)
