Anybody know Bobby Hernandez?

I know and have played with Bryan, a little. At the hall last night, one of my best friends said he had become great friends with Bobby. I don't know his history, but maybe would like to talk to him about his career. As we got to talking, the friend said that I might like to sweat some action between Bryan Porter and another local on my team, Frank Shiree.
Ronnie is a local legend, and just wanted to see if he was still in So Ca.

Bobby used to road with cuemaker Judd Fuller.
Last time I saw him was eons ago. He matched up on a barbox against King Kong.
Last major tournament he participated in a tournament put up by CJ Wiley/PCA in LA ( 1996 iirc ).
He got on the money. He lost to Parica.
He had a funky bridge and a smooth slipstroke.
One of the best barbox players from the west coast, I heard.

I know them all and if you're talking about Brian Parks, he's the best player in Bakersfield and just won the APA US Amateur title this last weekend.

Yes, I heard that. And yes, it's the same guy. He has stepped up his game the last few.
As for taking the win, this may queer the roadies that come looking.........

I was thinking of setting up an informal interview, maybe buy him dinner or something. (For Bobby, not Brian).

Bobby is originally from Bakersfield and still visits there occasionally. He spends most of his time in Arizona these days. Along with Keith, big Sergio and Joe Salazar, he was one of the best bar table players on the West Coast for years and years.
There are two Ronnie Allen's from out West. The older one is the legendary One Pocket player and the younger one is a very good shortstop from Northern Cal. We call him Ron Allen to differentiate from Ronnie.

Thanks for clearing this up about the two Allen's. I thought calling Ronnie Allen (the legend) a shortstop I thought "wow" they must have monster players.
Didn't mean anything about the "shortstop" remark. I've never seen him play, only heard about him a lot. I also didn't know that he had a rep this large. Thanks for clearing that up:sorry:
AND since you guys are so knowledgeable, anybody heard of Dennis Parker? I used to play with him a lot. He died a couple years back. He was living large till the end.

I don't know every player in the universe but Ronnie Allen's name certainly sticks out there.
Last time I saw him play was mid 90's for all I know he may not play anymore.
